Overpriced! Beware

400+ for rebonding and cutting short ear-length hair. Stylist did not even massage head when washing hair and was rough with the hot iron.

Perm + cut

Was looking for a salon to perm and cut my hair. The hairdresser here did not disappoint and patiently explained the options. He gave me a wonderful perm and cut.

Dishonest pricing, scam package

Dishonest salon, visit at your own risk. Had went there previously in the past years but my usual stylist had left. I saw a picture on their Facebook and WhatsApped them on how much it would cost. They quoted $159 ONLY (see pic). I did expect them to have some hidden charges like hair length or whatever but I was charged $298 on that day. I requested for the exact same style as in pic and showed the stylist the whatsapp chat to make sure he knew what I wanted. It costed almost double of the initial quote and the best thing is, the coloring wasn't even done well. Hours after I left the salon, I found one patch of hair that is very yellow (I wanted ash grey color) so I had to go back the next week for redo. When I went back for redo, the reception guy was pushing for me to use my hair treatment package the same day. Funny thing is the stylist told me not to do the same day as the color may fade just a week before. But this time he said is ok, can do. Turns out he only did the treatment on the portion of my hair that is not colored, which is only like 50% of my hair. That's a scam isn't it, considering I paid extra for long hair package. Also, when i got the package from my previous stylist that left, it was for hair treatment + aqua punch which I paid an extra $50 for but they did not honor the aqua punch service. Needless to say I will never be back again and I will recommend anybody that reads this review to be careful of this business :) (Review not yet verified)

Fraudsters who don’t pick their phone after the customer has paid

What a terrible salon. I got their K gloss package B service 2 days ago and they asked me to wash my hair today. Guess what? The entire k gloss is OUT OF MY HAIR ALREADY and they are worse than what I brought them. The roots are showing curl and hair is dry and brittle! The fat guy who wear a French beret was so pushy to get my picture clicked after the service and he said oh you’re so beautiful etc etc so that he could get a testimonial from me but I said that I will return for more services and then you can have my testimonial. After 2 days, the entire service worth $169 is NOW WASTE and I’ve called them 15 times in the last 3 hours and they aren’t picking their calls anymore. This screen is from the last 1 hour What cheats. (Review not yet verified)

Hoshi

Wish I had read the previous review regarding the poor service of staff. I was very frustrated by Hoshi who attended to me, as he handled my hair very poorly (kept pulling roughly) and did not apologize when I alerted him. He was trying to be friendly as he kept trying to put up small talk but he should really put more attention to his stylist skills instead of his talking skills. Additionally, Hoshi also kept hard selling. I was already pretty put-off by his rough handling of my hair so I was adamant not to add other services but that didn't stop him from trying to hard sell everything from hair treatment, bleaching, highlights to drinks. Disappointed with this as SalonPlus's promotional pamphlet stated "No hard selling", I think they should educate their stylists on what is hard selling because what I experienced was clearly different from what is advertised. Frustrating Experience with Bad Service and Poor Staff Attitude

As somone who is not a fuzzy person, I must share about my bad experience in this salon. The price of the various hair services in this salon is higher than average in town, but the quality of service and staff's attitude are adversely proportional.

Time Management: A supposedly 90min session became 3.5 hours.

Staff Integrity: Without prior notice, stylist did more than what I had asked for and ended up having to pay hundreds of dollars more.

Attitude: Hair-handling assistant was very rough on my hair and he kept pulling it with strength from hairwashing, dying to drying.

Upon asking to be more gentle with my hair several times , this assitant gave rude and disrespectful reply. Bad hair experience. Won't revisit this salon again. Think twice before you want to go there.

Update:   I requested for only cut+colour but the stylist did hair treatment as well without informing me. I thought that was part of the dying procedure when he applied hair treatment product on my hair. Ended up I was made to pay $180 for hair treatment alone. It was a male creative stylist who served me; his assitant pulled my hair with force and exerted much pressure on my forehead and back of my hair multiple times, causing pain.

Good touch up

Pricing are reasonable and their new salon look very nice. Good service. Served by Zen 2 out of the 3 times I was there. He was good. They will try to sell you packages but not really hard sell so still ok.

The overall experience is good and i like it a lot

My hair stylist is Ronald. You can see his face on the website hehe. The overall experience is good and i like it a lot.

As we were looking for a good salon, DA hair dressing struck into dear’s mind. As we felt that we were not left with much choice, we felt that it might not be a bad idea to go back there again.

We were greeted by a nice lady who led us to the chairs. She asked us if we wanted water or tea. I opted for tea while he chose water. All the while she was smiling and chatting to us. Next, we were asked if we have any appointed hairstylist but both of us answer no. So Ronald was our choice. I guessed he had just returned from a smoke as i could smell the tobacco on him.

The lady who served me tea was instructed to wash my hair. The dry shampoo was so cooling on my scalp. Her massage was really good and comfortable. While doing it, she chatted warmly with me on random stuffs. After 1 minute, she led me to the hair wash area and begin rising the chemical off my head. The head massage was equally good and comfortable. Good for a tiring day out at work. The massage was about 10-15 minutes. So far, the head massage is better than the one i experienced at Hair Profile @ Far East. I closed my eyes throughout the session. Going into the sleeping mode….

When i returned to the chair, i saw dear’s hair was already in the construction in progress status. For me, the lady comb my hair straight in my damp hair. When Ronald had completed dear’s hair, he came to me as ask me what i want. Beside keeping the length, i had no other opinions so i left my hair all up to his idea.

After sometimes, i had:

My hair is very smooth and all the bad ends were trimmed off!

His new hair style! His hair was difficult to cut and this is one of the nicest hair style he had

As Ronald is a senior hair stylist, he charged $42 for ladies, which include, cut, wash and blow while $38 for man. As dear had student pass, he was entitled to 20% off. He had also signed up a package which cost him $187 for 7 hair cuts.

Overall, i felt that it is a good hair cut experience in DA Hairdressing. The price is considered reasonable as I would need to pay for a more hefty price at other salons. Service wise, i am a satisfied customer who did not experience any bad attitude from any of the staffs there. Even we were there at 8.00pm, none of them appeared to be tired or lazy.

It is worth considering DA Hairdressing if you are considering for a change.

Friendly and highly skilled stylists

How much I paid
$270 for rebonding, haircut and treatment

What I liked
My hair stylist was Zen and he is very skilled and friendly! I did my haircut and rebonding with him and I loved the results. The hair saloon is at a quiet corner at Far East Plaza and it’s price is rather affordable as well!

Things to note about the salon
Reservation in advance is advisable because the saloon is always full! Might have to wait for half an hour even if you made a reservation but the hair stylists will help you do your hair properly and not rush to finish it.

Will I come back?
Yes! Friendly and highly skilled stylists, nice environment and affordable prices, why not?

My New Hair Style

Anyway, I went to do my hair yesterday.

Actually it’s nothing much. My curls are temporary, so I woke up to not-here-not-there hair this morning. Surprise! T^T It’s a brighter shade of brown now. Actually I wanted a crazy colour, but I might be getting some acting projects, so must keep my hair safe…

At least I haz nice touched up hair to go Macau! Can take more chio pictures, lol.

I’ve been having a fringe (bangs to be exact) most of my life, so now it’s time for a change. Since it’s the 7th Month in the Lunar Calendar (stay safe people!), showing forehead got the “light” I think. Heard it somewhere before. Also, birthday is next week so I am getting more mature now.

Anyway, my hairstylist is Stella from DA Hairdressing at Far East Plaza. Been doing my hair with her for a few years now! It is not sponsored, but just sharing in case you want to know.

Head feels so much lighter

After buying the tickets, we went to D.A Hairdressing at Far East Plaza. Ya, managing long and curly hair is really a chore to me! I decided let my hairstylist to trim the hair ends, layer the thick hair volume and cut the fringe. I'm happy, and my head feels so much lighter :D
