Hair cut with Stylist Alvin
Hair cut with Alvin, Stylist was efficient and on point. Fuss free service! Friendly staff around the salon. Good place to drop in for a quick hair cut, shampoo and dyson blow dry :D , in between meetings.

impeccable service
This is the first time I write a review after visiting a salon, which I think I should expressed how much I appreciate the outstanding & excellent service that Yuujin & Ken (founder himself) to re-dye my hair from “unsuitable” color to my favourable color. Yuujin’s attention to detail, patience, great communication skills, and ready smile made the experience even better than I expected.

Detailed and nice colour done by Sandy
Sandy is very detailed in doing the highlight for me. I had a bad colour done previously, basically my hair is like black which doesn't suits me. Sandy gave me the option of either bleaching it or do whole head highlight which is a tedious task as I've very thick hair. Thanks to Sandy now I've nice hair colour. The only uncomfortable area is when he applied the other colour for my whole head at the sink area and I've to lie there which is very uncomfortable. Thank you beauty undercover for the 40% discount.

First Colour Experience
I had my very first hair colouring experience at Evolve after my mum search for a stylist she wanted on Beauty Undercover. Yuujin was very gentle and quick to recommend colours that were suitable for office yet at the same time gave me a much brighter look. I dyed my hair reddish brown back then and although the red colour has pretty much faded away 3 months after the hair colouring, my hair has settled into a nice copper brown colour. I also requested for fringe trimming and Yuujin was very careful and meticulous with my straight bangs. The bangs turned out very neat and of an optimal length, something that is rare among hair stylists these days. Price is a little on the pricey side but worth the money spent.

Wash and blow dry
Kristin just made me superb blow out! Very gentle and super attentive to details. I really appreciate her asking several times the exact way I won’t it to be done, since it was tiring day and I was a bit off and not focused. My hair looks amazing now! Thanks to new MRT stop it became very accessible. Recommend!

Ken's Haircut makes my hair curl in automatically!
After hearing about how good Ken is, my sister treated me to a haircut and colour here at Evolve for my birthday.
I was certainly not disappointed... the haircut and colour turned out amazing! I was very impressed with Ken's haircut... I've tried many stylists but only Ken can make my hair turn in automatically with just a haircut. He also selected the colours for me so that my white hair wouldn't be so obvious when I grow out.
The location at Liang Court is also really nice as I can find carpark easily and can go for some grocery shopping at Meidi-ya before I leave.
Although prices are high, I'll definitely be coming back again when my hair grows out!

Best salon experience in years and loving my cut
Was searching for a trustworthy and reasonably priced salon for months to cut my badly managed hair, i turned to BU to help me in the mission. Been reading about the reviews of Evolve Salon at BU and with mostly good accodales, I decided to give it a shot.
And there's no regret at all. Called them today at 5pm to fix a last minute appointment at 6pm (half preparing myself for disappointment of potential fully taken slots), I was pleasantly surprised that they accommodated to my request.
Was sat down quickly upon arrival and shared my hair woes with leading stylist Sandy, he set me at ease by saying he will have help me do the necessary after the wash. A warm and friendly chap despite the cool jap look. The hair cut was prompt yet precise, with Sandy giving advice how to trim it to make it better and suggesting the best way to style the hair.
He also enthusiastically and patiently answered all my hair related questions, even took the time to demonstrate to me how to blow dry hair the proper way to create volume, dos and donts for my hair situation and explain why I should not subject my hair to anymore treatments for now (instead of hard selling the products or treatments etc).
Honestly, I wasn't see it coming as my past visits to other salons were more of a clinical experience; wash, cut, dry and off you go. Some even tried to hard sell treatments or packages. None of these from my visit at Evolve, at least not from Sandy.
I totally loved the new hair cut, walked away feeling confident and happy with the new knowledge acquired about haircare, a very manageable small burn in wallet (with or without the 35% disc for 1st time customer, it's worth every penny), and more importantly, I found a place I can trust and visit in the future whenever I need to update my hairdo. Kudos to this amazing salon!

She understands the customer's needs and is very patient and dedicated (OT-ed for 1 hour to cut my hair patiently)
I love my bob with undercut (1st time a stylist had provided a solution for my thick hair).

Knew what kind of haircut works for me
Sandy immediately knew what kind of haircut would not work on me - this is the first time a hairdresser would spot that layers don't work with me & would make it fluffy. Other hairdressers always cut layers for me & I always end up with poofy hair.

Cosmo Charity Blowout at Evolve Salon
After our lunch, Jessie and I headed over to Evolve Salon for the Cosmo Charity Blowout event while the guys were left to do their own things.

For $15, we are entitled to a 15 minutes wash-and-blow session either by a Cosmo team member or a DJ from Power 98FM, blowdry by a professional Evolve stylist and a Sunsilk goodie bag worth $55.30! Not only that, 100 percent of our $15 goes to Women For Women International (WfWI), a non-profit humanitarian organisation that helps and support female survivors in post-conflict countries such as Iraq and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Camwhore a bit since I’m wearing a new tank top (gift from Thailand) today and there’s nothing much to do while waiting for the hair stylist to come and blow dry my wet hair.
Camwhore again while waiting for Jessie to come out from her shampooing session! I love the whole effect of how my hair looks after the blowdry session. Just a simple blowdry session and I see the big difference. Thanks to the guy who did my hair. I’m too shy to take photo with him. If only my hair stays this way every time I wake up. So, everyone, don’t be lazy like me okay? Must maintain and style your hair before going out cause hair frames up our face. I’m lazy and always in a rush so sometime I didn’t even comb my hair. Worst is when I’m stressed up at work, my hair will stands up and become very messy.
Since I did not managed to take any photo with my own stylist, I spend the rest of the time taking photos with Jessie’s one!!! He’s super friendly and didn’t mind when we asked to take a photo with him. Nice and friendly. Thanks! I forgot his name again but I felt that he has got the style that of Anthony Neely. What do you think?
