RuleR Japanese Hair Salon @ South Bridge Rd

I've read about quite a lot of good review about this saloon and decided to give it a try. My stylist was Nao. His English might be limited but the translator was there most of the time to ensure that we understood each other correctly. He was very patient to listen my expectations. One thing I like about this Jap Saloon was that the stylist attends to the customer one to one basis and was very polite and gentle throughout the service. The end result was good and I liked my hairstyle very much. After the first-time customer discount, the price was very reasonable. It was just that the location was slightly far from the MRT station, would be easier to take a taxi if you are not familiar with that area. But I heard that they have recently moved to a new location which is more accessible to MRT station. Look forward going there again!

On 28th, 10:55pm, I called the salon naturally expecting it would go to voicemail, but I was surprised when Yoshi-san picked up the phone and welcomed my phone call. I promptly made an appointment on 29th, 1pm for Nao-san. The reviews about this hairstylist is that he's the best out there if you are looking for (what I've been yearning for a loooooong time), a Japanese female hairstyle. Nao-san was really patient and understanding and attentive o my requested hairstyle. I finally got the hairstyle I've been looking so much to. He's a genius in hairstyling, your hair just falls perfectly into place when he's done and I am definitely going back again. They also have shampoo they used on you for sale, on request.

It was my first time to try a Japanese salon so I was quite skeptical about the overall result. Nevertheless, I still gave it a shot. And Voila! I am very impressed how Nao cut my hair precisely. Given my hair condition, he still managed to style my hair the way I want it. This salon is worth every penny. ? Will definitely come back again!

Visited RuleR salon for the first time last week for a trim and treatment. It was a pleasant experience as hairstylist Shinji was really friendly and accomodated to my request (hair length, hairstyle etc). Will definitely pay them a visit soon :)

I recently had my hair done by Shinji and it was spectacular. He transformed my tired frizzy mane into something out of a fairytale. I came in with washed out brown locks and left with the fluffiest, shiniest grey hair. The service from start to end was stellar as well - he was patient with me needing the space to work on my laptop, provided me snacks and drinks, and took endless photos for my hair. But the true icing on the cake is his head massage - Shinji's fingers are so strong and skillful, I had to fight off my gentle slumber just so I could consciously enjoy his relaxing head massage. I would go back just to get a hair wash from him again. Amazing service from the moment I stepped in. I am forever grateful for my hair's new leash of hair.

I've had a lovely experience with both of them in changing my washed out brown to a wispy dreamy ombre that faded from brown to ash. They were extremely attentive to what look I was going for, and to manage my expectations for achieving it.

Kudos to them for changing my boring black and frizzy hairstyle to something more towards what i'm looking for! They've redesigned my hair in a sense to fit to most of my criteria. With their professionalism, they don't only do exactly what you want. They advice you accordingly to your current hair situation as well. My hair finally has more volume and i can finally say goodbye to full black hair again! Oh and they are all so friendly and not to forget, they offer tip-top services!

It's my first time having to leave my hair in the hands of a Japanese salon and I must say it's one of the wisest choice I've made ever! The setting of the salon made me feel so cosy. Staff are really attentive from the moment I've stepped in! They have an array of snacks and drinks for me to choose, and they have blinds between each seat for an added touch of privacy. Big shoutout to Stylist Yoshi who took his time and explained to me patiently what treatments etc will be the best for my hair. In the end I got the Ash color that Stylist Yoshi had recommended and I'm really loving the color, will definitely be back!

Hairstylist Shinji salvaged my hair and made it look so much healthier and prettier than before. Unlike the past local salons I've been to, ruler.singapore don't hardsell or recommend stuff that you do not need. Very first trusted salon and their hair-coloring service is so affordable!!!!! I think their hairwash tactic is kinda speacial as compared to local ones as well. Looking forward to my next visit to turn my hair into ombre ash pink

Yesterday is my first time come to Ruler Singapore ! Their service was so good! They are so warm and welcome.

I feel very comfortable ? About my treatment? I do hair colouring + treatment + haircut The result very incredible! Colouring without make my hair damage or dry. It was so wonderful! I got problem with my hair which is too volume until like lion haha But Nao (hairstylist) help me with his skill to trimming my hair.. Until my hair looks nice !

It was my first experience at a Japanese hair salon and I must say it was great! I showed Shinji a few photographs of inspiration for my new hairstyle and he managed to get the gist of it and make it better! The patience and precision in the balayage colouring and highlights made all the difference. The additional styling at the end made my hair look amazing and effortless. Would definitely recommend! I would suggest telling people how to get there though, especially if they don't drive like I do.

Popped by Ruler and had such a wonderful time! The stylists here are very attentive and apart from the great service, the ambience was really lovely as well. The treatment/spa that i enjoyed left my hair silky smooth, and easy to manage. :)

I did an ombré hair colouring together with a trim at Ruler and had a great experience. Luckily the translator was on hand and I was able to somehow communicate with Nao via my rusty Japanese. He was constantly checking if I was comfortable and explaining to me what look he was going for, only proceeeding after I've given consent.

Nao handled everything from beginning to end and the staff were also very friendly, giving suggestions when I said I was flying to Japan that very night. I loved the subtle highlights he added on to my hair to add dimension to the colour! Highly recommend this salon :)

I was at Ruler for hair spa treatment, the ambience of the whole place made me feel very relaxed and I enjoyed my hair treatment very much.

Trimmed my hair and did keratin treatment . The keratin treatment made my hair much more straighter and much more manageable afterwards. I would recommend those who are having trouble managing their hair to give the keratin treatment a go! The staffs were also really friendly and accommodating. Do give them a visit if you're having a lot of bad hair days!

Had such a great experience at Ruler Salon last week! Stylist Yoshi did a great job in cutting and colouring my hair. He trimmed and layered my hair so it doesn't look flat, and it's also much easier to handle my hair now.

I like it that the salon has a nice and comfortable ambiance. My stylist, NAO, is very friendly and confident of his treatment. He understands my hair condition and gives good advice.

All the staff were friendly and my Hair stylist, Nao, made sure it was comfortable for me throughout the whole process; I was served with refreshments, a comfy cushion on my seat and also a scarf to keep me from the cold!

Visited RuleR on Tuesday and I bid goodbye to my yellowish, dry and unruly hair! Decided to go darker and shorter length since my hair was really super dry and too thick!

Thank you Nao-san for the great recommended colour and haircut! (Face indeed look smaller now) I also love the Japanese hospitality and warmth service! ❤ Even though my Japanese is so-so, Naoko-san has perfect English so I know I am in great hands!

I was rather hesitant about the colour to pick for the hair colouring but Nao and Naoko both assisted me and offered various options that i can choose from that would best suit the current condition of my hair.

Nao in particular was very meticulous and pointed out how my hair was uneven from my previous haircut and needed a little trimming.

The overall result was pleasing and my hair felt healthier than before.
