Skye Herbal Treatment Salon @ Serangoon Gardens

Don't use this salon. they rip off customers. I booked a hair color and haircut for SGD 48 through Groupon and when I got there they tried to charge me another SGD80! I left and try to get refund. The owner is moreover rude.

Like the other reviewer, I visited the salon cause of a Groupon voucher. Comments about the physical aspects of the salon were true; it was dark and a little run-down. Though I was attended to on time, they also said that I needed to top up if I wanted more hair color choices but instead of the $40, they quoted me $80. Since I was there already, I thought fine and went for it. I liked the herbal dye – no smell and no prickly reaction for my sensitive scalp. The hair color also turned out well but lasted only 2-3 weeks since I dyed my hair red. The hairdresser was super hardsell but friendly and the salon is near my home so I got a package from her. I paid 50% that day and damn do I regret it.

The second time I visited the place, the good hairdresser was gone. A noobie was left in charge and got dye all over my scalp, forehead and ears. I was pissed off and she still had the cheek to ask for the balance 50% for the package. I was so angry I terminated the package to my financial loss. But it was still better than sticking with such a salon.

1. the location is very hard to find. it turns out to be above cedele, opposite my village.

2. they made me wait an hour over my appointment time.

3. the salon size is 6m x 8m

4. it was so dark inside that I couldn't see the hair color chart well.

5. I went there via a groupon deal. For herbal hair color. Turns out that there were only 4 shades available under the Groupon. For a wider colour choice, I have to top up another $40.

6. The color did not show at all despite it being just a touch up, we all know the root area is the fastest and easiest for color to show but it just doesnt.
