Lousy service

The hairstylist cut my daughter’s hair with not even length. When I feedback after the cut, no hairstylist helps as they said we are not their customers. We waited for long for the hairstylist to cut my daughter’s hair. Also, one of the female hairstylist accidentally bumped into my baby resulting my baby fell down. She didn’t apologise to me and even blamed me for not taking care of my baby!! (Review not yet verified)

Atrocious Service at Super Cuts Far East Plaza

12/8/19, Monday My son called Super Cuts at Far East Plaza at 11am to make an appointment at 5pm on the same day. We arrived on the dot. I made the payment and left my son there. 45 minutes later, I went back to the salon and was taken aback that my son’s hair hasn’t been cut. Unapologetically and nonchalantly, Serene sauntered to him and started cutting his hair. I am appalled by Serene’s service or rather the lack of it. Don’t forget. Your customers’ time is precious. We respect yours. So respect ours! Super Cuts will not be super anymore if you guys are going to sit on your laurels. Buck up.

Snobbish cashier

Kitty the manager is a good hair stylist. But the cashier is a turn off. 3 of my friends stop going there because of her.... She has no look dress like aunty spoil Supercut image and very bad attitude. How bad??? Go and judge for yourself.. Supercut is not a cheap salon and yet we have to tolerate her nonsense and snobbishness please change her to be a shampoo girl instead. To the boss of supercut compass point please observe her thru a cctv. and make your decision. Thank you

Leave unattended halfway through the cut for 30 mins

My husband was at the Compasspoint salon for a haircut on 9/5/13 at about 4.45pm. The lady stylist started on the haircut but halfway through, porceeded to attend to another customer for more than half an hour before returning to complete my husband's haircut. The whole process of a simple haircut took over an hour for my husband. When approached, the stylist even denied that she had left my husband sitting there for half an hour, claiming it was less than that time. The salon was not crowded at the time and my husband was told that there was no queue. I am shocked that my husband received this sort of treatment at the salon.

It just felt so terrible

I went to Supercuts at Sengkang yesterday to do cutting, soft straight and treatment. Kitty my usual stylist told me how and what she will be doing and using on my hair. When it comes to hair treatment, she recommended me a 10-step treatment which is quite expensive. So I asked if there is other cheaper alternative available. She said yes and we agreed on it.

As usual, it was those assistant that will wash, blow and apply the treatment on my hair. There is this assistant by the name of Jolin or Jorin, who did the treatment for me and later she commented that my hair ends are dry (which I agreed). Later, she said she will be applying the treatment for my hair ends and at this point, I thought it was part of the treatment that Kitty had earlier mentioned! It was until I was making my payment that I realised that there is an additional the hair treatment! Jolin did not even bother to inform me that this additional treatment will cost extra! I do not mind paying but she sneakily just told me one side of the story. I felt so cheated! It doesn’t help that the receptionist was not friendly at all.

My advise for those who are going for a haircut at Supercuts, Sengkang. Whenever the assistant is going to apply something on your head, confirmed it with your hair stylist first! If not these additional treatment will be included in your bill.

It just felt so terrible and I felt that Supercuts did not have any professional ethics at this point. With the amount spent in the saloon, I can easily buy a smartphone with the same amount.

Spikey

We (Lola, Hendrik and I) went to Super Cuts - Compass Point branch last Saturday, 26 November 2011, for Hendrik’s regular haircut. Yvonne, his hairdresser, instead of just leaving the "boy cut" as it is after the session, dabbed a little cream and / or gel into Hendrik’s hair and did a bit of styling.

Soft Straightening at SuperCuts

This is me at the SuperCuts Salon, Sengkang some 3 weeks ago.

I had my hair ‘soft straightened’ (less damaging than rebond because of the gentler chemical used) at Supercuts. I had to, because my hair wasn’t listening to me anymore. No amount of anti-frizz serum can control it. So, to lessen my life’s daily stress, I decided to have this almost 3 hour procedure done to my hair. In the process, it gave me another thing to stress about- the price!. It cost me SGD295. Geez.

Haircut at Supercuts...

Tried out this hair salon Supercuts since Daddy remembered seeing the kids corner and it was just at Compass Pt compared to driving all the way down to Vivocity for a haircut.

Luckily there wasn’t a need to book an appointment.
So I sat in the car and waited for my hairstylist to attend to me.

Here comes the auntie with the scissors…I do hope she knows what she’s doing…
I have also entertainment in the form of Daddy who reads to me with the book. Heh!

Somehow, I seemed to attract more teeny customers to the shop while my hair was being cut by the auntie. More people came in wanting their kids’ hair to be cut. Maybe I should be the poster girl???
Here’s my new haircut. Nice???
It had better be coz it cost Daddy $21.40 in total!!!

New haircut!!

Over the weekend hubby and me brought Xinru down to ‘Super Cuts’ at Compass Point for her hair cut.. Her hair looks kind of messy and the fringe is sort of long already so better get it trim for New Year…
Super Cut has been ‘her salon’ eversince we brought her for her first hair cut. She love the place because there is a car and motorcycle ‘seat’ for her while cutting her hair… Last week when i told her that we are going to trim her hair she was happy… She tell me that ‘我要剪美美..这样这样.. and she will be like point and making her hair… Then she went to tell granny that ‘阿嬷我要去剪头发..做车车还是motorbike剪的leh… 还有barney看的…’ and my mom will go laughing….
I really find my this little girl kind of ‘vainpot’… She will sit down on the ‘seat’ and guai guai let the hair stylist to trim her hair and listen wat the hair stylish say.. When she starts to fidget you just need to tell her ‘You move not nice liao huh…’ then she will stop moving… even when it gets a little itchy she will first tell you ‘Mummy itchy..’ but she will not move…. so funny… :P

First haircut in a salon !

This is an exciting day , the day when i’m going to have my first haircut in a salon
I keep my hair long ever since birth , except for the fringe .

Together with Jireh , we went to Supercut salon at Compass Point .

The uncle gave me a sweet & on the TV for me to watch .

There’s a motorbike & a car , & i chose this car to sit on ..

Mummy prepared me for this haircut the night before ..
I was ok throughout the whole process , just abit ‘stiff’ =P
I did not cry nor fuss , only a ‘serious face’ until aunty Shirley make me smile

Awwww !!
Is that me in the mirror ??

Okie done , this is the end result .
Very short fringe which mummy don’t like it .
She did not expect it to be so short , even though she keep telling the uncle ‘not too short !’
As for the back , i just had it trimmed but the ‘after effect’ is like abit weird .. haiz ..
Mummy miss my ‘original hairstyle’ ;P

SuperCuts!

Our appointment was at 10am. Ah Du normally starts work at 12pm but he clocked in earlier today because he feels learning to cut hair is more impt. Which I greatly agree, if not how to be David Gan no. 2?? hehhh..

After some face shape and hair analysis by his Boss, Ah Du gave my hair a good wash (he claims tt its super oilyy and scolded me for not bathing b4 coming! BOohooo!). The hair wash was very enjoyable, highly recommended!! $3 only! by Ah Du=) I was then brought back to my seat and just as I tot he was to start cutting, he excused himself to go toilet and did some real big business. SO basically I was staring at the mirror with a whole head of wet hair waiting patiently for him to be back. Right. Gonna deduct some pts for being unprofessional here mate! 10 min later he came back and started to snap off the back part of my hair, straight across, as instructed by Boss. This took abt 5min.

Ah Du snapping the back part of my hair.NEXT up, his Boss came around to check and did some trimming and explanation about the next step, which was to ‘create shape’ to the bob hairstyle that she wanted him to cut. She demonstrated how to do it on the left side (was damn pro! Ah Du says she has been cutting hair for the past 16 yrs! GASP!). Ah Du then started doing the same to the right part of my hair. Apparently there was a technique to find the ‘guideline’ so he will know how much to cut. Initially he had trouble understanding this concept and his Boss had to come ard a few times to check and advise. As a hair model, my greatest concern was that if he screwed up the ‘guideline’ thingy I’m gonna end up with a ‘hole’ in my hair. Thus we came to a consensus – dun cut too much first, leave some room for error, which is not the best cos the whole process took EVEN LONGER! But more on that later..
Here, Ah Du trying to find the ‘guideline’. This one peng long. I think abt 15min!NExt Up, as usual his BOss came over to check on him and realised that the right side is MUCH SHORTER THAN THE LEFT SIDE! GASP! KAngtAO liao! So bobian, the Boss had to trim off the left side to even things out.. sobssss. So basically my hair turned out much shorter than I expected. But I think it will be ok a few weeks later, because the shape is more or less there already.
Here, Ah Du is trying to trim off the left side to compensate for the kangtao he created on the right side=((
Here, Ah Du is STILL trying to trim off the left side to compensate for the kangtao he created on the right side=(( I was starting to doze off already! No JOke!
Ah Du, giving my hair the finishing touches by blow drying and styling it thereafter.Of course, nothing is complete until the Boss comes over to check. Time check: 12.05pm. The Boss commented “so how is it? no easy being a hair model hor?” hahahahaaLet me recall the learning points (Ah Du! this is for your notebook also horr! dun forget the homework your boss gave you!)
1. When a customer walks in, considering her hair length, face shape, vibe she gives, you shld already have in mind what kind of hairstyle and the look you wanna achieve, the concept. GO ahead and sell him/her the idea, and discuss it openly. Ultimately, it must suit what the customer wants – fuss free ready to go hairstyle? sth totally diff to change her look? curls to look more feminine? etc.. This will also determine what hair products you wanna recommend and use on him/her as well.2. Keep a note/sketchbook for all the haircuts tt you’re gonna do for me!!! and practise the ‘guideline’ thingy on ur gf (eh bo la kong qio!)3. Sometimes you have to go by ‘feel’, but that will come with practice and experience. When cutting hair, there are many techniques and ways to achieve the cut and look you wanna achieve. But ultimately, going with the ‘huiling’ is what you wanna achieve to make you a PRo!OVERALL VERdicT:

Atmosphere: 5/5 (Very nice setting to cut hair with kips and cute guys all ard heh!)
Hair Wash: 4.5/5 (Water was too cold the 2nd time ard)
Skill: 3/5 (1st time cutting on real hair!!)
Professionalism: 3/5 (minus 1 pt for gg toilet in btw)
Value for money: 5/5 (thanks for paying ah du!)

reporting from SuperCuts @ Compasspoint.

PS: his boss is really quite kip..and rich too! keke!

Hair cut at Super Cuts

Today, went to Super Cuts at Compass Point for a trim after feeling my hair’s getting out of control. Wanted something shorter – slightly off shoulder. Went to a hairstylist who’s kinda like the boss there – Olivia. Was googling a bit yesterday and found she’s very popular. Then also asked my fren JX for the name of the stylist whom she followed faithfully through the years, from the time when the stylist was at Far East to even after she shifted to Sengkang! And, JX stays at Boon Lay!! Well, JX’s stylist is also Olivia.

Just now, had a good head massage here, so pretty happy. Also satisfied with haircut. She cuts really fast – really fast! like very gan zhiong. For a few seconds, my hair was flying all over the place!

Anyway, good to know I’ve 1 good stylist to turn to in my area for hairworks!

Supercuts

We were at Seng Kang Compass Point's Supercuts. Mummy and daddy went there for a haircut/treatment/colour, etc... It costed more than $30 to get a haircut sitting in these special kiddy seats at the kids corner. Haha! But as usual, I went to my usual stylist at Yishun and it had only costed $6 for my haircut...

Hair cut at Super Cuts

Ash needed a haircut, or at least mummy thought she did. Brought her back to Super Cuts at Compasspoint because 1) they’ve got hairdressers who can cut a child’s hair 2) they’ve got a child seat in the shape of a toy car 3) they’ve got a TV playing Barney, Hi-5 VCDs.
Anyway, Ash got a super trendy (to me), really short at the back and nicely layered sides cut. All for the “cheap cheap” price of $21.40.

Hmm…shall I watch Hi-5 or Barney ?
Here we goooooo….
I hope it turns out well !
The final touches

Supercuts @ Far east plaza

oct '05 ~ nov '05 - supercuts, far east plaza, level 4 (?), some-butch-who's-name-i-can't-be-bothered-to-remember (?):i was in search of a cheaper alternative to le salon...and someone recommended supercuts in parkway parade...so i figured that the far east square model couldn't be too much different from the one over on the other side.but hmmm...let's just say that this was the place that i was referring to when i said that i'd give someone a second chance if they didn't do a good job the first time round. do i really need to explain why i only went twice??? haha.

Bad Hair Day

was at Far East Plaza just now..

I went in to the first salon I saw.. SuperCuts..

whatever lar.. I thought if Hair Explosion can be good… so can this one..

asked the Malay girl at the counter whether would I have to wait or do they have a hairstylist free..

she told me that I didnt have to wait.. so I went inside and had my hair washed.. and waited..

and waited..

and waited..

for 45 mins..

coz the hairstylist is busy cutting another SEVERAL customer’s hair at the same time..

MIGHT AS WELL TELL ME TO COME BACK IN 45 MINS RIGHT????

luckily the hairstylist was apologetic enough and did quite a good job lar.. old woman mah.. so I guess she have a lot of experience..

so after my hair was snipped to an extremely short hairstyle fit for a police officer.. I went to the counter to pay..

and the Malay girl was on the fone.. looking down on the table as she was talking.. prolly for some enquiries or something lar..

but dont tell me that she cant notice someone standing in front of her?

I timed her this time.. it took 7 mins of waiting.. just standing at the counter waiting for her to finish her call or for her to look up..

and several minutes later, another customer stood beside me.. waiting for her too..

so after 7 mins of my time wasted in front of the counter, the same hairstylist came.. and told her off.. quite sarcastically, I must say..

WTF?

You on the fone with someone that requires all ur brain power that you cant even do simple transactions meh?

Cut hair time again...

Stupid hair grow so fast…so as my hair was getting long at the side, bopian lor…I was sent to the barber, accompanied by my 2 trusted compainions: Daddy & Mummy.

This shop a bit unique lah; got a kiddie ride as a chair for me to sit in. I guess it serves as a distraction lor… although not for long. Hahaha… But it was still quite nice to sit in it lah, but cannot tong money wan. So that means it can’t move. Darn.

And so my ordeal began…

Well, if you are hoping to see some photos of me smiling…well, you can forget it!

Generally, I was pretty okay. At least, I fared better than my haircut at Suntec! I didn’t cry this time okay???

Expectedly, I began to feel restless after a grand total of 4 minutes in the seat. So naturally, I started squirming about, trying to get the irritating and pesky scissors away from my ears! Heh…

And so for the remaining portion of my haircut, Daddy had to carry me while the scissors went snip-snip. And yes, Daddy was covered in my hair as well. Hee hee… But no choice lah, I think he would rather choose to be covered in my hair than to deal with a screaming and crying toddler. HAHAHA…
