Heard about the 2-hour Care Perm Student QY got at HaLu by AVENTA @ River Valley and want to know more about it?
Here are the 4 reasons why Care Perm is a Must-Try for Perm Beginners!
1. Gorgeous Natural-looking Waves
Ever wish you could have beachy waves which give just a bit of volume without making you look too auntie? Care Perm may just be able to do that for you. HaLu Hair Design @ River Valley uses the industry-leading low-damage Tokio Sinka perm lotion that creates waves without too much curls. The result? The #wokeuplikethis waves that make it look like you were born with it!
2. Suitable Even for Damaged Hair
Tokio Sinka perm lotion is special as the lotion is so low-damage, it can be used on coloured, bleached or chemically-treated hair (which is not excessively damaged) and still give good result.s Yes, the perm looks best on healthy hair but at least you know you can still get a perm even if you have coloured your hair!
3. Fastest Perm Available
Unlike normal perms that usually require about 4 hours, a direct perm like Care Perm takes half the time. How? The process removes the wait normally required after applying the perm solution.
You usually have to wait for 20 minutes to rinse the perm solution off, get your hair blow-dried and only then can the actual perm begin. It's so much faster with the Care Perm once you remove the waiting time between all the processes!
4. Cheaper Than Other Perms
Take a look at the price list for Digital Perm in most Korean or Japanese salons and you'll realise they all cost $300 to $400. At HaLu, they've kept the price for Care Perm at a reasonable $170 to $200! Add their signature 1-1 Japanese service to the mix and you've got a must-try perm for perm beginners!
Want to know how Care Perm works? Read about Agent M's experience at HaLu Hair Design @ River Valley.
Hi, I'm Agent M. I'm from Hong Kong but have been studying in Singapore for a number of years now.
I got to know Daisuke when I first came to Singapore. A coincidental meeting with him (as well as my atrocious hair) got him asking if I would like a hair makeover. Since then, I've been going to him for haircuts and colouring. And honestly, I really enjoy every visit. He gets my style so I don't have to talk too much and he comes up with just the right treatments to make me look good. While we chat a little, I also like that he's not too talkative like many other local stylists. I feel very fortunate that I manage to find him here in Singapore.
Having gone to him quite a number of times, I know he is someone who will take care of my tresses so when he asked if I would like to try the new and gentle Care Perm, I was all for it.
After a quick wash, the first thing Daisuke did was to trim my hair ends.
This was to help remove split ends and also allow the curls to fall at the right place after theperm.
Look at how meticulous he was as he sculpted my hair and got it ready for the perm.
Once the cut was done, Daisuke applied Tokio 0 to protect my hair and get it ready for the perm.
Once the hair was adequately moisturised, Daisuke proceeded to apply the perm lotion onto my hair. This helped to break the existing bonds so that my hair could be resculpted into its new shape.
If this was a typical perm, the perm lotion would have to be left on the hair for some time for it to be processed.
However, Daisuke managed to come up with a new way to perm hair that speeds things up. Instead of waiting for the perm lotion to process, he eliminated the step and jumped straight to curling my hair.
Daisuke rolled up my hair with in rollers, covering them with sheets of wet paper to minimise damage during the heating process.
About 4 inches of my hair was left unrolled to give it a natural look.
The process was repeated on the rest of my hair.
All done, Daisuke connected the rollers to the machine which heats the hair to create the desired waves.
To minimise damage, the temperature was set relatively low. This would also create a more natural wave that wouldn't look too tight.
Once the perm was done, Daisuke unrolled my hair to remove the perm paper before rolling it back up.
This way, my hair would be exposed and able to absorb the setting solution.
Perm setting lotion was then applied to my hair to seal the curls.
After a short wait, the setting lotion was rinsed off thoroughly.
Daisuke was very observant and took care of every single detail to make it as perfect as possible.
All that was left was to dry and style my hair!
The process was really very quick so I didn't even get a chance to finish the dramas I usually get watch at the salon.
Here's a quick reminder of how my hair looked like before:
And now after:
Compared to how juvenile I used to look, I can say that this perm definitely upped my womanly charm by more than a bit (I hope).
Look at how natural the waves are, too!
Not too much, just a little at the ends for an effortless boost in volume.
The perm isn't just gorgeous; the waves are also very easy to manage.
No matter how I flip my hair, it justs fall into place really prettily.
I'm in love with how bouncy the waves are!
Update: Even though it has been more than 2 months since the perm, I'm happy to say that it is still holding up well. Though the waves are mild, my fine hair still looks well curled and I don't have to style my hair anymore.
Thank you Daisuke from HaLu Hair Design @ River Valley once again for a wonderful first perm.
I do believe that this will be my new addiction!
