Hello, I'm Agent M.
I'm not vain, at least I don't think so. I don't spend much time on my skin or even put makeup on a daily basis... since I'm already a Mom and just don't have time to do all that amidst work and family.
That was how I let my skin deteriorate till it looked like this.
Big pores, lots of congestion on the face and worse,
Acne on the jawline and the neck.
I got so disturbed by the growing acne problem that I went to see an aesthetic doctor. The aesthetic doctor recommended that I went for laser and so I did. My skin seems to improve initially but I felt my skin feeling drier and drier over time. The effect also did not last long.
This got me thinking... is laser really for me? Is there a more natural solution out there that can help me get rid of acne?
Through sheer luck, I came across this sharing by Agent S on Apple Queen Beauty on Facebook.
I read about how Apple transformed her face with good old extraction Vitamin C facial and I felt a surge of hope: could this facial therapist give me a different result?
The only way I can find out is to try. I made an appointment with Apple Queen Beauty... and came away IMPRESSED!
Apple's extraction was painful but among the most thorough I've experienced! She didn't just remove congestion on my face, she also did extractions from my neck after seeing my situation. I was so amazed that I signed up a package with her and have been back to see her regularly since.
This is how my skin looked like after 3 sessions with her.
Isn't she amazing?
My skin has improved so much! The acne has gone away and my pores are beginning to look smaller just after 3 sessions. In fact, this is how my skin looks like now.
Definitely a lot cleaner than before!
I'm very satisfied with her services. That's why when Apple asks if I mind being featured on Beauty Undercover for her facial, I was more than happy to agree. She is someone I would unequivocally recommend for facial services!
If you want to find out more about how my typical facial is like, read on below:
The first thing Apple does is to cleanse my face.
She then massages it all over the face and makes sure that even my decollete area is well cleansed.
She then wipes it off
And follows up with a sea salt scrub.
You can't really see the scrub as it is sort of transparent but I can certainly feel it exfoliating my skin.
However, the more she scrubs, the more you can see the foam forming.
It is however very gentle and not harsh at all.
Can you see the dead skin on my neck being exfoliated?
After cleansing and the scrub, Apple moved on to extraction.
She used many different instruments to make sure that she gets all the blackheads and whiteheads out.
Her eyes are so sharp, no whiteheads or blackheads escape her removal.
To be honest with you, the extraction is not painless.
Thinking about how her extraction helps all my acne go away helps me tolerate the pain!
And yes, she spends a full 20 minutes on my jawline and neck area alone to make sure that my acne doesn't come back!
Then she ends off the extraction by trimming the eyebrows.
Feel a sigh of relief as the extraction is done.
My face is slightly red from the extraction and the pores are open.
With my pores open and ready to absorb nutrients, Apple says that this is the best time to put on the EGF mask. EGF stands for Epidermal Growth Factor, which helps to stimulate cell growth. The mask itself contains EGF together with aloe vera extract, Centella leaf, Vitamin C and even Rice lipids to heal the damaged skin, rejuvenate it and improve skin immunity.
The mask was dripping with lots of goodness. Apple doesn't waste any of it and applies the rest on my neck, and covering it with cotton wool to improve absorption.
The mask was left on my face for approximately 15 minutes.
During that time, Apple prepares for the next step in the process - application of serum.
Once the EGF mask is ready to be removed, she applied a dual serum onto the face. This dual serum contains a special ingredient called PEG 32 - it helps to lighten blemishes or dark marks so my previous acne scars don't look as obvious!
To make sure it penetrates deeply, she runs through with an ultrasound machine all around the face and neck.
That's not all. After running the ultrasound through for about 5 minutes on each side, Apple prepared a second mask for me right after.
She mixes the vitamin powder mask and adds her signature hyaluronic acid to form a moisturizing soft mask that encourage pores to close and boost skin immunity.
She mixes them all together and applies it on my face. Seeing that my neck is more oily and has more pimple and dark marks, she chose a different mask: phyto mask and mixes with mineral water.
The phyto mask contains more natural ingredients that help to moisturize the skin, make the skin more bouncy and has a stronger brightening effect.
After mixing, she applies it to the neck area and leaves it to dry.
After about 15 minutes, the mask hardens and it is time to remove it.
That concludes my 2 hour facial at Apple Queen Beauty.
Despite intensive extraction, I love it that my face doesn't look red or puffy at all.
Apple's facials are not the cheapest, nor the most painless facials I've done so far but I can safely say that her facials are so far the most effective. I can say that after trying many different salons, even going to aesthetic clinics for expensive laser treatments... none comes close to the dramatic transformation she made on my skin. My blemishes didn't just disappear, my pores have become smaller and my skin a lot more moisturized... definitely a lot better than the dry and sensitive skin I came in with.
I'm therefore very grateful to Apple and will continue to come back every 3 weeks or so to keep my face looking this way.
Unequivocally the best facial therapist I've tried thus far!
