DIY Hair Tips #1: Blow Dry your hair in 4 Steps to Increase Maximum Hair Volume

Published on Feb 22, 2015

More... More... MORE HAIR VOLUME please!

Many of us perm our hair with the intention of getting that voluminous magazine-ready hair that looks gorgeous all the time, anytime.

However, perming is not the only way to get volume...

For those of you who don't mind blowdrying your hair before makeup (assuming a good haircut), you can also achieve significant increase in hair volume!

In our first edition of our DIY Hair Tips, we talk to stylists from CLEO Hair & Make for tips on how we can properly blow dry our hair for MAXIMUM Hair Volume!

1. Dry Hair from Neckline Upwards

Dry Hair from Neckline Upwards

Many people blowdry their hair downwards, starting from the fringes.

While this may be more convenient, blowing dry your hair from the neckline upwards increases hair volume a lot more!

It also makes sure that the hard-to-reach root area near the bottom is blown dry!

2. Blow Dry the Hair from the sides in an upwards direction

Once the neckline is properly blown dry, you can then move upwards near the ear / fringe area and blow dry the hair in an upwards direction!

Remember to blow dry upwards for both the left and right sides of your face!

3. Blow Dry the Hair roots in the Opposite Direction

Hold up the hair and blow dry your hair roots in the opposite direction!

Example: Blow hair towards the left for right side of the fringes and blow hair towards the right for left side of the fringes!

4. Blow Dry your fringe upwards

Once you've followed the instructions to the tee, you should have much more volumized hair than before!
