Allure at Tiong Bahru Plaza

Just had my eyebrows done at Allure by Coco. She's meticulous in her work & i'm absolutely satisfied with the result. Going back for eyeliner & lip embroidery in a couple of weeks.

Purchased an eyebrow embroidery Groupon deal for only 99 bucks @ Allure beauty. Haven’t heard of them before but from their website, they seemed quite professional in their beauty services. Initially, I wasn’t that sure of the difference between the normal embroidery and creative embroidery.

The first step was to reshape my brows first. Once it’s being reshaped nicely, only then they could embroider. The senior therapist, Colynn, was very meticulous and ensured my brows were designed and drawn properly. As embroidery work is semi-permanent, once the colour is applied it’s very hard to adjust anymore. It took her about twenty minutes to make sure I was satisfied with the design for me.

I’m quite happy with the end result only that I would prefer my tail to be a little longer. They have a complimentary touch-up for me so I could go back in few weeks time to touch-up!

Made an appointment with Allure Beauty Saloon Pte Ltd located at Tiong Bahru Plaza for 2 (me and Ying).

Was quite nervous coz it was my first time, although I’ve done tattoo before, and precisely because I’ve done tattoo before, so I’m not looking forward to the pain.

Had lotsa second thoughts coz once done, have to wait for some time before it fades off. But at least I have my fringe… HEHEHE…

Anyway, the beautician first shaped my eyebrows (whatever was left on my face), then drew the brows on. She was fast and good! I was satisfied with just a bit of corrections.

She then put some anesthetic cream on the drawn brows, and we waited for about 20 minutes.

Next she started to ‘pick’ on my brows with a pen-like knife, lined with colour. I realised that it was similar to tattooing, only that the knife did not go too deep into the skin, thus making it a temporary thing.

After Ying was done too, we were asked to buy a tube of cream, apparently to make it last longer.

Total : $380 (promotion found in Jan issue of Simply Her) + $48 (shared by Ying n me)

Overall was quite satisfied with the results and we made another appointment for a free touch up in Jan 2007.
