Cold and unpleasant

I used to enjoy coming because there was a shampoo boy who nearly offered me very personal service, like remembering what I liked for drinks to where I like to seat, what item I like to add on after hair services and even send me birthday wishes. After the boy left, no one remembered all these and staff would be randomly assigned, some were okay but some were rough on my hair. The experience was increasing getting appalling when once a staff wet the back of my shirt when shampooing. Sometimes shampoo got into the ear and caused temporary’deafness’ and also once letting perming liquid into my eye, the staff left my eye in pain while she washed and cleaned her hand from the liquid first and then passed my some tissue a few minutes later. Their price was over rated and I don’t think it’s worth because I remembered I once paid more than $400 for just a colouring even after discount, it was supposed to have some highlights but my friend noticed a blob of greenish patch which was just out of place. After this, I stopped colouring my hair with them. But I still have credits with them so I have to come back until one day, they asked me about my occupation. Maybe they think my professional is not rich or tai tai enough or maybe because they think I cannot afford their colouring or perming when in fact I will not do anymore perming or coloring with them after those bad experiences. In order to use up my hefty credits with them, I only come to do hair cut service which is $155 (before discount) and this is above or on the high end of market rate. If I receive premium service, i don’t mind the price. But if they use trainees or worse, staff with attitudes on my head, seriously why should I pay so much? The last straw comes when my past two hair cuts really look off, the first one the fringe was cut too short and looked weird. The second time, the same bob looked unrefined at the edges and I think I look worse than a school girls simple bob. They say a hairstylist’s skill is judged from a simple hair cut. I think I can get a better cut, better service and feel more welcomed elsewhere.

service was cold and impersonal

I had high expectations of this salon as I remembered that this salon was usually featured in the closing credits of our local TV dramas. However, service was cold and impersonal. I did a haircut and a hair colouring job there but I remembered I was not very happy with the whole experience. The vibes that they gave me, was that they catered to the rich and famous customers. I do not own any credit cards that time and they were not impressed with the debit card I was holding.
