Disappointment & disappointment

I want to express my disappointment with this salon at jurong point. I have been their customer since 5-6 yrs ago, it was under Russell salon and my first hairdresser went back to his home country and 3 yrs ago, i followed another hairdresser. I was happy with her skill and introduced my few of my friends to become her loyal customers. Last saturday (17/oct/20), i was there to do my haircut and color treatment and went home happily, yesterday 20 oct 2020 ( 3 days after my color treatment), i realized that there are some grey hair which was not covered by the color treatment. I called them to ask and very disappointed with my hairdresser that instead of asking me to go back and check, she mentioned that she has checked my hairs before i left the salon that hairs were colored properly and nothing much she can do. She even mentioned that if i saw some grey hairs, it was because i used the wrong shampoo. This is ridiculous, first, there is only 3 days since i colored my hair and I only washed 1 times during these 3 days. ( on the day of colored, i washed my hair at the salon, i washed again next day and didn't wash my hair on 3rd day, 4th day, i found out some grey hairs and called them. I told her that i was using color protected shampoo and it is impossible for that to happen with just 1 time wash. I insisted she should check and I actually went to the salon to ask them to check. After checking, she told me the color on my hair couldn't cover the few grey hairs completely unless i used black color. Just to be cleared, this is the 3rd time she did my hairs and I let her decide on the color because I trust her professional view and now she told me i should use black instead of brown and I asked her she could have tell me this on that day. She was very unhappy and said she can't do any brown color for me and must use the black to cover all. I was very upset with her attitude and the way she handled this considering i am the customer for the last 5-6 years and i brought my friends to become their customers as well. I told her, I have enough with her attitude and I don't want to go back to them anymore, just consider this time as bad luck for me. Indeed, my friends and i decided not to visit them anymore.. really disappointing and i don't write review usually and this time, I really disappointed and upset with their services and I welcome the customer service to contact me and i am happy to provide more information. Zero hard-selling involved

Been going to the Jantzen at Causeway Point for 1 year+ now for my regular every-2-month hair cut. Hairstylist Iris is professional, very friendly and always get my hair right. I love how conscientious she is, and the professional attitude she shows. She even recommends style to me at times. Totally ZERO HARDSELLING involved. Defnitely recommended to all.

Ruined my entire day

I have been to Lot One's Jantzen salon for almost a year and throughout the years I have been going to a male hairstylist. All of the male hairstylists are very competent however, today all the male hairstylists are all busy so a female hairstylists named Yvonne went to proceed to cut my hair. Normally, all hairstylist will wash your hair first however this particular lady mentioned that I did not need to wash my hair because I came with a wet hair. She then asked me whether I wanted chinese tea and I did not want it that I am grateful for. The thing that made me angry and upset is because of the hairstyle she gave me. I clearly said that i want my hair to be around neck or shoulder length and I want it to be the same length. And to be even sure, i showed her a picture of how I want it to look like. I even took the time to research about what hairstyle I want and even search for a few pictures that showed the back of the hair and the side just to aid her. But thats not enough I guess, cos she gave me a super short haircut which is nearly as close to my ear length, a concave shaped hair and she even shaved my hair around the neck area which I CLEARLY DIDNT ASK FOR! That really made me so pissed that I dont even bother to talk to her or anything. And this ruined my entire day not to mention I came down to Jantzen hoping that I could get a better haircut then those cheap salons but I was wrong I guess. Paid 26 bucks to get a crap haircut.

To the hairstylists, Yvonne. You are cutting A GUEST'S hair, meaning whatever you want to do you should ask first not just follow what got damn thing you want to do. You not only ruined my haircut, but you ruined my day.

Haircut by the salon for 10 years

I always trim my hair every 2-3 mths at jantzen jurong pt.and im very satisfied with my frequent Hairstylist Wayne!

Had my haircut by him for almost 10 yrs since my school days! Be it Long or short hair, he's the pro! ;)

Hair is like lion

I really regret of going to jantzen salon at jurong point!!! I’m so disappointed with the hair stylist of a Malaysian women….I did show her a pic of the hairstyle that I wanted her to do. I did ask her several time she say no worries can be doneafter all it’s doesn’t turn out to be what I want!!!! The next day wen the moment I woked up my hair is like lion…. I went back to the shop and told off the receptionist that I’m not satisfied and the receptionist answered me back with the sentence saying MAYBE I DON’T KNOW HOW TO STYLE UP”I told her off that this is not my first time going salon!!! After all she keep quiet and I ask her to call the hair stylist and tell her off that I’m not happy and she told me that I have to wait for 30 minutes! Wen the moment she arrived she don’t even have to courtesy to say sorry for waiting… She just tap on my shoulder and say in Malay language wait ah… While attending to me she had another customer and she left me with one of the part time aunty I guess so…. cause she was told to put the chemical without using any hand glove. And after 10 mins she wash off my hair and blow my for about 40 min then the hair stylist came and blow a little bit of my hair and was also showing unhappy face…I would like to ask the management to reply to me!!!

Result is such a disappointment

Recently, on 6th Nov 2013 and I totally agree with you i rather go to the $12 salon. i paid more than double, but the result is such a disappointment. Even the $12 salon did a much better job. I when at 8plus in the evening, want to trimmed my hair with a little layer. The lady (i shall not mention her name even though i know) she was attending 2 person at the same time including me. She was was not calm and she was rushing trough while cutting my hair. After i made payment, a when to the washroom, when i was looking at the mirror, i realised that my hair was longer on 1 side and shorter on another. It was obvious! I when back to the salon, the shutter was closed halfway. I told her that my was not even, she inpection and trimmed it, well she said sorry.

The next day i realised my hair was not cut evenly. I have standing hair on my right and flatter on my left. Im sure my hair was not hte problem, as i been cutting this hairstyle many time with different salon and it turn out great but not the case with JANTZEN!

Ladies will understand that our hair is our asset. Bad haircut! I will never go there anymore! such a bad experience!

Feel comfortable with him

What differentiates a bad hairdresser vs. a good one is whether or not they can give the hardest to manage hair a good cut that grows out nicely.

I have one of the hardest to manage hair with waves that has a mind of their own. For over 10 years, I always flet rebonding was the best invention ever, which i won’t need a good hairdresser.

Now with my pregnancy… i finally see my natural hair once again. VIsited this guy Desmond @ Jurong Point Jantzen….. been 3 days and so far , my lion’s mane still looks easy to manage (not without the blowdryer though). Feel comfortable with him….as he does not attempt to small talk too much. Let’s hope he stays on… so I can get him to handle my hair after Beanie comes out.
