Where To Find Them

Overview

Similar to QB House and EC House, K Cuts is a new $10 haircut chain that provides quick haircut services by stylists trained in Korean style haircuts.

They offer only haircuts, you can’t book an appointment beforehand and you have to pay thru self-service payment systems in order to go for the haircut!

In a short span of time, they have already opened close to 20 outlets islandwide (mostly in the East!) and reviews about their service has been good. The environment at least is kept clean and hygienic!

Also, some of their salons are children-friendly as well.

Extremely terrible

Ownself cut also can cut better than this? Not kidding. I don’t even know how they can employ people with such standards. Is it any Tom Dick & Harry with a pair of hands can be employed? Hair cut is uneven and choppy from the front and side. From behind, look like she use a bowl as outline and just cut. But from the side it’s a lump of hair. How is it possible that the bottom part of the hair looks thicker than the top of the head. Don’t even dare to go back because they sure as hell don’t have the skills to salvage this mess. Sloppy haircut

Asked for a #2 high slope haircut from Irene Tan @hougang mall branch. What I got were my slopes being the same as when they were uncut, had to ask for it to be shorter but it was still very long at the end. Furthermore my sides are not even, with one side longer than the other. She didn't use the mirror to show me the back, which was also very long. A highly unpleasant cutting experience. Never never go to this chain, at Hougang mall

Understaffed, and they let people buy tickets despite that they would not be able to fulfil. There were like 16-18 people ahead of me, without me knowing. There is a tiny queue number at the payment kiosk, you need to take note of. Don't fall for this trap. They don't refund you if you can't wait (Review approved by Beauty Undercover)

Rude Stylist @K-cuts Tampines 1 mismanaged queue with the support of Company

Rude Stylist @k-cuts Tampines 1 mismanaged queue with the approval from company. On 23 June 2021 @13:50, I bought a ticket for my son at k-cuts Tampines 1. My queue number was 209. The queue number on queue board was 208. At the time, there were two female Stylists attending to their customers. When one of the seat was available, I wait patiently for the stylist to call me in. However, to my dismay, she gestured another man to go in. I was puzzled. I waved to her my ticket. She simply gave me a weird look and continue to attend to that man. I thought perhaps that man has some VIP voucher and thus able to cut queue. i let the mater rest and continue to wait for my turn thinking that may be it will not take long. I even told my son its ok to let him go first. (While i was waiting, the other stylist left the shop, leaving only the rude stylist). However, things happened again! When she was done with the first man, she again asked another man (which appeared from no-where) to go before me! I showed the rude stylist my ticket and asked why. She explained that it was because they are holding the 1-for-1 voucher and she had queue them manually earlier on, by scribbling 209A and 209B on the vouchers. I asked her why did she not tell me when i was buying the ticket that there are two persons before me? And why she acknowledged their (209) ticket but not mine! She ignored my questions and went inside the shop to get ready to serve that (2nd) man. At this juncture, i realised that she is not going to acknowledge her mistake. Thus, i asked for a refund. She brushed me off rudely and said 'No! No! No!'. She was outrageously rude, high-handed and with zero customer service. I left with the ticket and wrote to k-cuts. They reply asking me to call them to "further understand the situation'. I called and the lady over the phone simply elaborate again the voucher promotion and the manual queuing system by the stylist. There was no apologies and assurance that such practices will not happen again. And to rub salt to the wound, she even said i 'should have check with the stylist on how many people is queuing before me!' I bought the ticket. My queue number was 209. The queue number on queue board shown 208. No one was allowed to wait inside the shop. No one was queuing outside the shop. So should i have any doubt that it would be my turn next? I am simply speechless and time will tell if company with such unfair practices would last. (Review not yet verified)

Bad hairstylist

My hair was cut by Jason Chang at the poiz outlet and he didn't know what he was doing. I showed him a photo of taper fade hairstyle that I wanted. He went ahead to cut my hair so short that it is close to botak. I think he doesn't speak English at all because he didn't say anything in English when I told him I want taper fade hairstyle in English and show him the photo. Only after he cut my hair, did he tell me in Mandarin that my hair is not suited for this style and when I asked him what hairstyle is suitable in Mandarin, he only said my previous one was suitable. He didn't even know the name of the hairstyle.

Quality is inconsistent

Sometimes the stylist gives a good haircut, but sometimes the stylist give a VERY BAD haircut. One such example is a stylist called Crystal at [email protected] Terrace. She gives very bad haircuts and spray water all over my head till my face was VERY wet. She doesn't even know how to give a proper undercut. Other than crystal, the rest at that location is still acceptable. Please avoid Crystal at all cost if you happen to cut your hair there.

Unsatisfied

On the 15th of September, I went over to the outlet located in Pasir Ris to get a trim. I told the stylist ( a HE) that I just needed a mini trim - about 1/2 an inch to just get rid of my split ends. Not only did he chop at least 2 inches off my hair, but also left it cut uneven. I had to go home and solve the crisis myself by cutting the right sides in which was longer. Needless to say, never gg back again!

A disgrace to it's brand image

DO NOT call your salon K-Cut when your stylist can't even produce a basic decent haircut.

I went for a hair-cut with an expectation of a 'cute' K-style (a regular customer to a Koean salon). After explaining my desired style, the poorly-skilled 'auntie' just pulled my hair and chop like a grass patch! There was no turning back as her speed was fast.

She didn't have the entry level skill to look at the mirror to balance the cut throughout. I walked out of the salon like a lady mafia! Unbalance spikes and bare on the right!

A total disgrace she can be a stylist.

To the owner(s) of this chain salon: DO NOT BRAND YOUR SALON K-STYLE IF U FAIL TO SCREEN YOUR STYLIST THEIR SKILL TO DELIVER KOREAN HAIR STYLE.

It has totally ruined my image

Horrible experience at the Bedok Point Branch. I’m a female and I went for a pixie cut. The cut turn out to be very boyish and short. It has totally ruined my image, some of my Friend even asked if I went for hair for hope haiz…

Terrible experience

Terrible experience. Their stylist gossip and let their friends/ regulars cut queue. From what i gathered from my own experience , you can take a ticket then go shopping or run your errands. When you come back , you can just jump queue and insist you got a ticket earlier .Ridiculous , why implement a ticket system? At least at QB house , they insist you sit and wait your turn. Here , just get a ticket and then go shopping . Come back later and cut queue.

Update: I went to the outlet at Changi City Point

I am unsatisfied at both visits

I’ve went there twice and I am unsatisfied at both visits. The barbers seriously have to understand the haircut terms. I asked them to trim my top and half of my long hair got cut off. I asked for high slope and they cut me a medium slope despite me telling them that I want a high slope twice.

I will never patronize k-cut ever again.

Review for Ong Lee Choo (Eileen)

I went to K-cut international plaza to cut my hair.

The person that served me was called Eileen. His skills were very terrible! I dont know how k-cut select their hair dressers but this Eileen got to go. I tried to tell him nicely that he was trimming wrongly.

Then he literally rolled his eyes . And i could see u at the mirror!

I wrote in to feedback. And found out his name was Ong Lee Choo (Eileen)

I will never patronize k-cut ever again.

Update: Date of Visit was 13 October 2015.

Damage was done beyond reparation

Date of Visit: 19 November 2015

I wouldn't recommend my friends to go to K Cuts. The PRC working at K Cut literally snipped my hair off like she was cutting grass. Not sure if it was because the shop was closing? I asked for a trim not a CUT in mandarin. Before I could utter a word the damage was done beyond reparation. I was at Alexandra Park Hotel's outlet.

There were bald patches!

I wouldn't recommend my friends to go to K Cuts! In my opinion, I don't think the barber knows what he was doing and did not care for the state of my hair. He ripped out so much of my thick hair that there were bald patches!

Update: I went to the one at Serangoon NEX

First trip to an express haircut salon turned out well

Went to the Greenwich outlet. Hairdresser named Lynn was well trained and friendly. She explains in detail what type of length and style is suitable for your hair. Haircut turned out well indeed. I was skeptical at first, but my first trip to an express haircut salon turned out well. Will definitely recommend to friends and family.Review not yet verified

Neat and proper hair trim

I am a loyal fan of Quick haircut because of my busy schedule

$10-12 for a 10 min cut. My hair grows long within a week or two

Hence quick haircut is the quick and cheap solution

My visit was first to holland village outlet. Usually I patronize the next door competitor and latter is usually packed. Stylist at K-cut was quick to notice that my hair is not the usual simple cut. Most stylists will err on cutting and trimming my hair to look great at that point in time. But after a week or two my hair will start to show the uneven growth.

Must say after 2 weeks of cut at K-cut my hair still looks trimmed neat and proper.

Will I come back

Yes. Difficult to find a stylist that knows how to style your hair at $10.

Lousy service. Lousy haircut

K Cuts – Bedok Point
Rating: 1/5

It looks exactly like QB House except that it claims to be able to cut Korean styles. I went there with little expectations anyway. They told me straight that they are not related to QB House though they are about the same. The result – no Koreanish style… just the usual budget cheap haircut.

I rcv a 1 for 1 voucher so I decided to bring my kids there. Turned out to be a terrible experience. Though they claim to welcome kids, they are Highly Intolerant of kids. Both hairstylists were impatient and the older one kept chiding my kids for touching their stuff. And no they weren’t touching scissors or combs, just the chair, tag and cupboard Not at her station. Even the $3.80 Snip Avenue is so much better.

As my elder son didn’t wanna put the towel around his neck, hair dropped down his shirt and he was very uncomfortable so he wanted to come down to sweep off. He only came down once but it seemed enough to annoy the hairstylist. There was No queue at all. So why the hurry? In the end before finishing cutting, she just stopped bcos my son didn’t wanna cut anymore. When my husband asked why it was out of shape, she just said, “he doesn’t wanna cut anymore how to cut”

No preschooler will sit totally still to let u cut their hair. If they can’t handle kids, don’t pretend to welcome kids.

Finally the younger lady offered some snacks which I kindly refused. The older lady seemed to rmb that I also refused snacks previously, when she insisted on giving them to me. So she said to the younger lady, “they don’t want, don’t give them.”

Husband thanked the grumpy old woman before leaving but I was seriously pissed. Thank what? Lousy service. Lousy haircut. I rather go to the market to cut their hair. At least there are nice aunties who actually like children.
