Good cut for the price point #12
For such budget chains, was hoping to get the ladies as in my experience they do a better job of cutting female hair (guy who cut for me before did a horrible job). This lady I had did a decent cut for the price point (hair style I want is a safe/common one). Though somewhat rough with the hair, did become more gentle after telling her. The other lady in the shop seemed also good with her cut as I observed. If quality control is consistent (which I can't vouch for since only tried one time), kojimaya would have an edge over the rest. And oh yes, price raised to $12 wef 1 Sep 16.
I feel they are comparable to the better neighbourhood salons who may charge the same pricing or just a few dollars more, and some neighbourhood salons can actually do better on top of 'safe' cuts. So good if you are in the area but maybe not necessarily to travel all the way for it, though I did like that the hair people in these budget hair chains usually will not chatter or comment as much on your hair/scalp condition (i.e make you feel bad or buy stuff) so is a quick hassle-free experience.

Look younger
I went last week to do a changeover and was happy to receive favorable comment from friends who said I look younger with the new shorter, layer haircut.
The only problem with this layer haircut I need to blow dry my hair longer as I have natural curls.
But look forwards to next haircut next time!

I was totally impressed
The place is called Kojimaya or something like that, yes another one of those 10bucks outlets. But this place is cool, I love the feel of the place despite not having to watch a looped video on Japan on a plasma and not getting a free comb at the end of the session. The hair stylist was really professional and gave me some interesting advice. I was totally impressed. Id recommend it to all NSFs who just need somewhere decent for a proper haircut.
