My hair was done by Ken chang who was one of the co owner of kudos. He listened attentively to my concerns and crafted a personalised haircut and treatment plan for me! Im very satisfied with Kudos. I like the haircut done by Ken. He pays attention to details and ever told me about my hair growth pattern. My previous haircuts done by other salons is very bad but not this time! Thanks for letting me try curls before I do my perm and I truly think that perm is the way to go! Kudos is located conveniently in hong lim center. I have been following ken for over 8 years now. He is really good at consulting and giving me suggestions on how to maintain my hair. He really knows what hair suits my lifestyle. I also like the fact that there is no hard pushing for packages where I can peacefully read my book and not be bothered at all times. Totally enjoyed my hair treatment done at Kudos today! I tried the Naked Gorilla hair spa. The head massage was so comfy! When Shawn showed me the before and after pictures of my scalp, I was totally blown away! No wonder I keep dropping my hair. I really love how they pay attention to all their clients! After my botched perm job in another salon, was devatsed to let my long hair go. But ken managed to make me love having short hair! Everyone said that I look much younger and more Korean! I visited kudos for the first time last week and ken did my hair. He was very knowledge and advised me on the hairstyles that will suit my thinning hair. They even had a naked gorilla hair scalp treatment which totally cleansed my scalp. I think my hair follicles are less blocked this time round. Located in the heart of Chinatown, this tiny salon is really a gem waiting to be uncovered. The hairdressers are all at least with 10 years experience and never once my hair was pulled or mishandled. I was travelling to Singapore and this is the first time I tried Kudos. Although this is my first time, but I will be back for sure! It is pretty difficult to get Asian stylist who understood Caucasian hair and even to do a good highlight and colour it is even more difficult! I went to cut my bangs yesterday and I m super happy with Ken’s cutting skills. This is my first time cutting bangs and ken totally nail it! I received a much needed naked gorilla and hair treatment in one sitting. Ken and his team attended to me and they explained and demonstrated each treatment to perfection. They really take the time to explain my scalp condition and the treatment itself. I was quite taken back by how dry my scalp was. Gary, the founder is a very experienced stylist who takes extra care to advise you and monitor the chemical treatments. Came back to Kudos for the 4th time for repeated good results and service. Gary will also offer a lot of styling tips when you ask him. I have also done Rinka treatment with Ken and both stylists are very good. I have natural curls and hair is difficult to manage in this humid climate. Rinka is very gentle and effective and it is the first time a stylist is confident to say that they can perm my hair. And yes, it was still in good condition after Rinka. (not frizzed out) The salon is very spacious and clean and prices are rather reasonable. This review is rather overdue. Juggling being a new mum & having self care is not easy! As usual, Ken always does my hair for my hair colour. Colour is perfect as per what I’ve wanted and I really appreciate how he suggested how I can maintain this by touching up the roots every 2 months or so. Hard to have honest and skilful stylist. This is my first time visiting Kudos. I get to know this salon from Beauty undercover. He rebond and perm my hair and I really liked the end effect. It was soft, silky and manageable. I visited Kudos to fix a terrible hair dye I had done elsewhere. I booked an appointment where I met Kol, he assessed my hair and gave me suggestions of the colour and treatment I needed. Kudos Hair Salon is really a nice place with a cosy ambience, good sound system with a welcoming feeling. There are even snacks and tea provided. Ken was very skillfull and patient in helping me achieve the perm which I always wanted. It was my first time at kudos. the stylist took the time to understand my hair texture and I liked the fact that he asked detailed questions about my last perm in another salon which did turned out dry and damaged. Rinkan perming took abt 3 hours and I really love how my hair turned out. It’s not damaged and the curls are feminine and soft. I highly recommended Ken Chang if you are looking for a perm! I do my hair only once a year, so I don’t really have a regular salon that I frequent. Perhaps after my positive experience yesterday - I think kudos salon might be it! Appointment and services enquires and replies on Whatsapp were prompt, pleasant and polite. The stylist Ken didn’t push me any packages and he even shared many tips on permed hair.
