Le Spa @ Gemmill Lane

About a month ago, I tried the body massage at Le Spa but I was contemplating about whether to blog or not as I didn't have a very satisfying experience there.On a good note, Le Spa opens for 24 hours, so anytime when one is free, he/she can just pop in for a massage. They created convenience for people living a busy lifestyle. Le Spa had also won the SMEs Asia Award Singapore.When I first stepped into Le Spa, I was amazed by it's grand Oriental interior design. Upon mentioning my appointment time, I was immediately led into a room to change and get ready for my massage.After changing, my masseuse, a lady from Malaysia soon arrived and recommended their signature body massage for me, which she mentioned was their Le Royal Balinese massage.During the massage process, my masseuse kept chatting with me and was trying to be friendly. I had no chance to take a nap. Anyway, nap aside, it was a little difficult for me to sleep as well since the massage was causing my muscle to feel the aches. My masseuse told me that my shoulder muscles were too tense probably due to stress in life and she was helping to loosen my muscle tension.I was appreciative of her kindness to help loosen muscle tensions on my shoulders and upper back, but she spent too much time on those areas instead of my lower back, thighs and sore legs. After my massage, I did not feel much relaxed in overall but more soreness on my shoulder. I think it could also be my fault since I did not voice out my opinion to her on the spot.

That aside, I'm glad that the salon used scentless body oil which is suitable for sensitive skin and it did not feel on too greasy on my skin as well.

Will I visit again? Unless I meet a more professional and skillful masseuse at Le Spa.

Located at Chun Tin road amidst of popular supper spots, one is unlikely to miss Le Spa as you head to your favourite supper place from the carpark. I used to frequent Chun Tin road after school to satisfy my Indian food craving. They have got the best prata, murtabak and mee goreng in the area! Just a few months ago, my significant other and I went there for supper. The Teochew porridge that he brought me to was quite good!

I visited Le Spa on a Saturday about 11am. It was rather quiet and it appears that I was the only customer then. It appears that it was their non-peak hours and they took this opportunity to do some housekeeping.

I was then brought into the massage room to change before the massage session begins.

My therapist was very attentive to my needs. She kept making sure that the room temperature was okay, that I don't feel too warm or cold. Also, she made sure that I was comfortable with the pressure that she was exerting on me. She would ask if I wanted her to go lighter or exert more strength on me.

I like how she started off by wiping my feet with a warm towel before starting to work her magic on the back of my body. She started from my lower calves up to my back followed by my shoulders. After which, she proceeded to work on the front of my body starting from my lower calves up to my shoulders and my head before ending it with a few knocks on my back.

Would I revisit Le Spa again? While the massage at Le Spa was not too bad, I must say that I have had better (more relaxing) massages elsewhere both within Singapore as well as overseas.

Once you stepped into the reception area, be greet by a beautifully decorated oriental theme reception and received a warm welcome from the receptionist. While preparing the masseurs for our massage, she served us a cup of ginger tea while we sat down at the waiting area.While I was working under the hot sun during the noon, I was sweating like a swine so I thought to take a good bath before my massage. Unfortunately, the couple treatment room does not come with its own restroom so I would need to freshen up myself at their common restroom at the end corner of the spa. The masseur handed me a towel and robe to me so I could wear it when I finished my shower. (you could not expect me to walk along the common walkway with a towel wrapped around my waist)Couple treatment room at Le Spa

The treatment room is very clean and in the centre sits two massage bed with common settings. The massage beds were covered with towels and a rolled up towel which was used as leg rest while we are lying face down. The masseurs politely knocked onto the door to check if we are prepared and we commence with our massage.While the masseurs starts kneading our tired body, they would constantly check with us if their strength is adequate before proceeding the massage. The skilful masseurs worked effortless with their experienced hands and rejuvenating our bodies during the 60-minutes massage. While we dressed ourselves up in the room, the masseurs had already prepared a drink for at the waiting area before we leave the spa. Their good services have left us a good impression.

2nd Visit at Le Spa

A week later, we decided to visit the spa again with two of my siblings. My girlfriend called up to make an appointment and surprisingly, she managed to identify her name which most spa don't, and check if she is asking for the same masseur that had given her the massage during her previous treatment session. Again, the massage was satisfying and I decided to sign up a package with them, noting that it was the only first time that I have signed up for a spa package.

After rounds of experience at Le Spa, I thought they have really put in efforts into customer services and taken good care of all aspects of a customer visiting their spa for a massage. Most of the masseurs are experienced and certainly they also managed to maintain their good standards throughout our times of visit. I would highly recommended this spa for a good late night rejuvenating massage.
