Loves

  • Results for haircuts, hair colour and rebonding by hairstylist Jeremy are generally very good
  • Affordable prices
  • Jeremy gives "safe" haircuts
  • Hairstylists are patient

Not-So-Happy-With

  • Might have to wait a full hour even if you made an appointment
  • Has to make appointment at least a week beforehand
  • Jeremy can be a little quiet so this may not be the best place to go if you like chatty hairstylists
  • The salon is small and a little cramped.

Excellent, excellent and excellent

i just went to Maison hairmake yesterday randomly. I had not seen any reviews online or did not know this place from friends.

services rendered: Haircut, rebonding, treatment.

Excellent, excellent and excellent.

Not sure what is that lady’s name who attended to me but Jeremy attended to me as well.
Both really quiet but SUPER meticulous. please. I have not seen another hair stylist as meticulous as them for the last 10 years. They even made sure my babyhair was rebonded wth!?

As I was doing rebonding, i sat there for 3 – 4 hrs observing every client that walks in and out and seeing what their haircut turns out.

every single one walked out looking good.

Jeremy even advised a walk-in client on suitable treatments that they don’t provide in their salon, telling her what is best for her hair and what to look out for if she wants to do treatment in another salon. This is really impressive and i could see his passion at work.

I guess i am just lucky that i bumped into the salon. raving about it to my friends and will definitely come back.

Poor service, poor styling skills

Had a v bad experience there recently with Jeremy. I did some more research and found out that there were others who suffered a bad haircut from this guy. Kevin was decent but since i read so many ’rave’ reviews abt jeremy, thought i will give him a try – big mistake.
Throughout the entire 2hrs I was there, he was sulky to all the customers, and very curt. What’s with the ’attitude’? if you are not happy, dun work. he owns the salon right? bad way of doing business and ruining yr customers’ hair.

What I think can be improved
After reading all the reviews, decided to try jeremy but it turned out to be the biggest mistake of my life. the haircut was really lousy and the service was non existence. i know so reviews said he was quiet which is fine but this guy pulls a face when u ask him for his opinions and frankly, of you are not happy then dun take it out on yr customers. my haircut was interrupted several times throughout the whole time, he will attend to
another customer when cutting my hair halfway then when he came back, it seems like he’s forgotten where he had left off and this resulted in my hair being uneven all over and v messy. All my family and friends were shocked when they saw my new hairstyle…it was THAT bad. So i wld advise readers to take the rave reviews with a pinch of salt, maybe 5-6 yrs ago, he was really ’good’ but now, he’s certainly not up to standard, i can walk into any salon n have better chance of much better service n haircut.
Over rated.
Poor service, poor styling skillls.

Dont think its worth the price

i only visited this salon once because my boyfriend cuts his hair regularly there. we had to wait for around 30minutes despite having an appointment. Our hairstylist was Kevin. There was only 2 stylist on duty perhaps that why there was afew people queueing? The salon looks simple and chic, which i guess its okay... when it was my turn to cut kevin was quite nice in asking how i wanted my hair to be, etc. but when i had to wash my hair, the lady who washed my hair made my shirt wet... and after the hair cut, it looks the same overall except shorter. for a $80-90++ (me & my boyfriend), i dont think its worth the price...

Really satisfied with the men's haircut

I was looking for a good hairdresser for the longest time since the one i’ve been sticking to left. I’ve tried many hairdressers (from snip avenue to salons in the $20+-30 range) but recently I’ve tried MH after looking through many reviews.

So I booked an appointment with Jeremy one weekday afternoon, after reading over a thousand reviews (I exaggerate, but yea)

I must say that I was really satisfied with the haircut. Jeremy was really meticulous and patient, which I liked. I also liked the fact that he didn’t try to make small talk during the whole process, which can be quite painful/awkward for me when I cut at other places. (although sitting there for 30+ mins and staring at yourself in the mirror can get quite boring haha)

AND he didn’t use a shaver! (I’m a guy and I hate how other hairdressers will just whip out their shavers to save effort) He painstakingly cut the sides of my hair, slowly, bit by bit using the scissors for a good 30mins.

At this kind of price ($28-$40), I will definitely recommend this place to my friends! (Actually i did alr wahahahah) Although you might want to go on a weekday afternoon.

2013 new hairstyle maybe?

Ta-DAA!
Yes. i know, not much different thou. Tsk.
Eventually, i am there in the Salon wanting to PERM my hair.
But the Hairdresser, Jeremy, advise me not to as my hair are rather frizzy and there is splitends at the bottom ):
PLUS
my hair wasn’t that long. Thus, after perming, my hair will look even shorter.
So, end up with the results of STRAIGHTEN hair. ^^V

This is before straightening. Kinda messy BUT its longer.
miss it. Please grow hair. I will shower you with more love. PRAYS*

Love it!

I finally trim my hair on Sunday!!! Always went back to my favorite hair salon, Maison Hairmake. Been going back for the past 3 years & Im a satisfied customer Jeremy was my hair stylist that day. I only briefly mentioned to him that I have the intention to perm my hair & guess what he did?

Whip out the hair curler & started to do curls on me without any request or additional charges LOVE IT!!! I have an upcoming wedding dinner next month & Im seriously considering asking him to curl my hair. I feel liked perming my hair again. Shall do so next year.

Really good and merticulous

I recommended him to cut at the Maison Hairmake because I feel that the stylist (Jeremy) I have is really good and merticulous! And even my brother feels that he’s really goooood such that the haircut is the best one he ever had! My brother is known for being very picky over his hair.. so I can safely assure you to get your hair cut there!

I am very happy about my new hair

After looking at so much good reviews about Maison Hair-make at Fareast Plaza,I decide to choose the highly raved Jeremy as my hairstylist!

I didnt comb it so that explains how messy it looked.

I am very happy about my new hair!(:

Will definitely go find Jeremy again!

Jeremy was really friendly & offered his advice.

While conversing with him,I realise he does not like rebonded hair.

He prefer natural hair.

For the first time,he is the only hairstylist who didnt advise me to rebond my hair.(:

I would highly recommend Maison Hairmake at Fareast Plaza!!!!!

Especially Jeremy!

For girls who much prefer a lady stylist, you might want to try Winnie.(:

Chopped hair again.

So, after reading raves about Maison Hairmake at FEP, #05-45, I went there for a haircut. Booked Winnie as my stylist as i heard of raves about her styling. =) Was very satisfied with the end result! I showed her Hebe’s haircut, which she identified to be a bob. Longer at the front and shorter at the back.Sort of a sloping bob. It didnt turn out to look like Hebe’s as i requested for her to cut the behind muccch shorter.

Winnie’s version of Hebe’s hair on my head

And its cheaper than Gorgeous! And quite comparable too. I shall visit here more often as I pretty much need to spend less now. Be prepared to sit there for at least 1.5-2 hrs for a cut and wash as they are super detailed in cutting ur hair. Which makes it all the while worth it. Dear did his cut there too and it really looks much better. I lovvve short hair on guys. Hee.
