Furnished with relatively simple decor, Pro Trim @ Ngee Ann City is the type of salon customers are very likely going to overlook. You can't really see the salon from the outside but just peek in from the entrance and you'll find a standard salon layout like this:

To be honest, we were not exactly wowed when we first walked in. 

However, our impression started to turn for the better after spending some time within.

You see, the major reason why we decided to visit Pro Trim @ Ngee Ann City was because Agent G's FAVOURITE Korean stylist Joel Park has just moved here. If you recall, Joel saved Agent G's limp bleached hair with an awesome perm that lasted for more than 6 months. We arrived just as he completed the perm for some customers and we're happy to note that his perms are as awesome as ever: natural, sexy and glamorous! That's as expected even though we could never stop being amazed at just how pretty his perms are.

What was unexpected for us. however, was the perms done by other stylists in Pro Trim @ Ngee Ann City. We can't help but notice that many of their haircuts are perms look ALMOST just as good as Joel's. VERY very well done!

It was only upon further probing that we realize why. Pro Trim @ Ngee Ann City is the chain's flagship store. This means that this is where all its most ZAI hairstylists station themselves.

This includes its co-founders Tino and Florence as well as its most illustrious Korean stylists Joel Park.

There are so many good stylists here that if you throw a dart, you'll get a good haircut and perm no matter who you hit. 

They don't do many promotions nor advertising but still have a big group of loyal customers thanks to strong word of mouth recommendations! Their customers range all the way from bosses of conglomerates, indonesian tycoons, celebrity pastors to the regular working professional and stay at home moms. 

From what we can see, the reason why so many people choose to come here despite its hard-tofind location and less-than-amazing decor is because of ONE THING: Skill.

Even before Korean salons came in, Pro Trim was known to be among the best in the industry for perms. Very early on, Pro Trim's Vidal Sassoon trained founder Tino saw and loved how the Korean stylists are able to create romantic, beautiful hairstyles. He has therefore invested a lot of time fusing Vidal Sassoon cutting techniques with Korean perms to achieve the best of both worlds. 

The result: Easy-to-manage Korean style haircut or perm that customers absolutely love! He has since trained his stylists in a similar style, which is why so many of local stylists are very competent in this area.

Thanks to their expertise and the aggregation of top stylists in Ngee Ann City, there are VERY FEW MISTAKES or REDOS in this salon, if at all. Instead, this is the place many go to when they get their hair damaged elsewhere because the stylists here will know just what to do to fix it. 

Competence aside, the stylists here are very easy to come back to because they are just so warm and sincere. In their presence, the stylists here feel more like friends and family so you can feel that they truly emphathise and feel for you. (This may mean a treatment or trim here without charges from CERTAIN stylists if they know you need it) They also do not hardsell products or services you don't need, so you'll feel particularly relaxed here.

Best of all, prices are not exorbitant and is in fact a shade below what you would expect for their experience and service, making it a top choice for customers looking for value-for-money services!
