Honest review

Here is a very honest review about the facial i got from skin inc.

During the facial, my therapist was nice to have warned me about the jet machine thing that infuse oxygen(i think its something like that). Thankfully she did or i would have been quite shocked. Hmmm i am not used to the jet machine.i find it quite uncomfortable. Throughout the facial, there were people coming in and out of the room. My eyes were covered but i could hear the door opening and closing and footsteps.so privacy wise, for me, its not enough.

Towards the end of the facial, my therapist left the room.but she didnt tell me that she would be leaving me alone and how long it would be.but she was nice to have offered me a cup of water because i was coughing a little.

At the end of everything, comes the selling of packages and products. Seeing that i was unmoved by my therapist's pitch, another therapist chipped in to sell me their serum. Tried very hard they did but this time i was very determined not to be persuaded. I wanted to observe my skin after the treatment, see how it reacts. i dont want to commit to anything and then after that realized i am actually not suitable for their products. One thing that really dissuaded me is i get a little itch here and there. At the tear duct end of my right eye, below my right jaw, at my left temple.little itches here and there that made me believe i need to observe the reaction of my skin. I also spot a few more little pimples arising.maybe it was from the exfoliation. After 30min of the treatment, while waiting for bus, i find my skin getting sticky. It doesnt have the light feel that their products are said to give. I could not wait to wash my face at home. My facial was suppose to give me more radiance and brightness, but i dont find much improvement, albeit i did not take any before and after photos. But i always think those before and after photos are not tt accurate because u really need to replicate the exact conditions to be be to compare.the lighting, the angle tt u tilt ur face, etc. As i m writing this, the number of places of itch is increasing.really worried now.(Writing this on the way home after facial)

I was so nervous and I couldn’t relax at all

Scary! That’s how. I’ll never do another facial with machines ever again! I’ve done Diamond Peel a couple of times and I was scared stiff each time. This Oxy Miracle Peel requires a jet spray of Oxygen (or so they say) all over my face and my neck. It was uncomfortable, ticklish, loud and scary! I was so nervous and I couldn’t relax at all. It made me so tensed up, the therapist had to calm me down a few times. So was it worth $226? I’m not sure. There’s an Oxygen jet spraying machine and some “expensive” serums involved. But I was too frightened to enjoy the treatment. Maybe some other women would. I don’t like these hole-in-the-wall facial places. Give me a full-service spa anytime, please!

My skin feels hydrated, looks brighter and my complexion feels clearer

It just feels like someone is blowing air on your face through a small jet instrument so you aren’t sure if it is actually doing something. What it actually does do is gently exfoliate your skin with oxygen infused saline, clear pores and remove surface pigment. I like the “gentle” part as I am skeptical about harsh peels or things like that. I always think of that horrific Sex and the City episode where Samantha gets some type of peel and ends up with a raw face! Only 3 drops of the Replenish serum were applied and massaged into my face and then the Collagen Black Mask was applied. I kept this on for about 20 minutes. The mask felt a bit like cool jelly on your face but if it does the trick then I’m not complaining. I even managed to take a quick snooze during that time. So what’s my overall impression: Great! The woman who did my treatment was experienced and talked me through everything she was doing. I have had treatments where they don’t do that and I think it’s important. My skin feels hydrated, looks brighter and my complexion feels clearer. All without the pain of extractions and in less time than a full facial. Only $48 too!

SKIN INC OXY MIRACLE PEEL FACE TREATMENT

The treatment regime goes like this: cleansing oil (which smells like lavender!), cleansing foam, facial mist. The highlight of the treatment is the oxy miracle peel. It involves squirting of oxygen goodness on the skin with a machine. This process helps to remove dead skin cells and also the less stubborn blackheads. Finally, a mask is applied and the face treatment is done! I actually enjoyed the session very much because the beauty consultant is friendly. She was also genuine about sharing about Skin Inc’s products, and made useful recommendations without being pushy. I walked out of Skin Inc looking more radiant. The skin looked evidently brighter even without makeup and feels soft to touch too, probably because the dead skin cells are removed.
