The Bund @ Ang Mo Kio Bishan Park

Brought my daughter for a haircut. She wanted to change her long thick hair into a bob. Due to her frizzy texture,Ricky advised her to leave her fringe longer and come back a year later for the kind of bob she wanted. The length would be more suitable and look voluminous at the right places. Appreciate his professional advice. He then proceeded to give her a lob. Nice and swingy. Also, my daughter said the shampooing felt nice and her hair was left so soft and shiny. Thank you Ricky and we would sure look for you again! (Review not yet verified)

I should have checked when the previous reviews were posted before going for a haircut. The shop is dirty - hair strewn everywhere, not just on the floor but in tangles behind the mirrors and on the small tables. Haircut did not frame my face at all but instead made it look wider. Absolutely regret going here. (Review verified)

I had really long hair but it was dry and tangled. upon my initial consultation with ricky, I felt comfortable and I knew he was well trained in cutting short hair. true enough, he did an amazing job by giving me a confident pixie haircut! Beautiful cut and colour. walked out a happy customer :)

Ricky has been my stylist for almost one year. He is always honest, patient and forthcoming in the consultation with me to ensure that I have the style I really like and which suits me the best. I recommended him to my friends and they also praise his haircut skills and now became fans of him. And now as one of his regulars, I do not even tell him what I need as I trust him to make the best style for me!

Didn't expect there is a hair salon in the park. Love the location. Quiet and Private. Las is my hair stylist. Good looking, sincere and most importantly, he knows what haircut suits me, despite me having long hair for so long. He suggested me to try short hair and wooo! I really love my new look with the short hair. Definitely thumbs up for Las. Their staff are very friendly and professional too. =) Thanks!!

I had long straight hair for over a decade n too many times I backed out from cropping it short. Decided to visit The Bund after reading the reviews from beautyundercover. Las patiently communicated to me on the style and colours and highlights that is suitable for me. I felt assured that he is confident to deliver n proceed to crop it short. I haven’t look back since. All my friends commented that I looked great and fabulous.

Joanne is great with short haircut. She is able to accentuate my natural wave with her special haircutting techniques. What is amazing is the haircut will still look good after 5- 6 weeks and will not have gone completely structureless.

Joanne Tee has been my hair stylist for decades, and she is the only one I would trust with colouring my hair, and I go from light to dark shades at least 3-4x in a year! My hair is well taken care of, and she knows how to cut, mould and maintain my thick hair into a stylish pixie style. The rest of the staff are friendly and makes you feel pampered and relaxed too!

Splendid experience for the past two years under the skilful hands of Ricky. He understands exactly the feel and the look I want and yet with his insightful advice, the end result is impressive. He is a hairstylist who will give you the look that make you feel good and confident about and also receive compliments from people; even enquiring where I got my hair cut from. I love the texture, the volume and the refreshing look I get whenever I walk our of his salon. A perm that Ricky did was also fabulous. It looked rich and yet natural. The perm was also very lasting. Even though the perm took some time but most hair cuts were very time-effective. I could get a brand new look within lunch time! The salon is also set in a lush and natural environment which sets you on a nice pampered mood as compared to factory-style noisy salon. I also highly recommend Ricky for his very ethical approach towards his client. He never pushes for profit. Once, I turned up for an appointment and gave his frank assessment that I should wait a little more, for the length to be ready for the perm. Nothing was done on my hair that day. He has also delayed my mum's perm to protect the health of her hair, as her hair was over-permed (dry and brittle). I have never felt pressured to fo any unnecessary treatments nor colouring. I have always felt at ease under Ricky. Confident that I will always walk out of his salon getting the look I want, like I have always enjoyed :)

First visit to The Bund and they did not fail to impress. They were prompt in confirming appointment though it was a last-minute request. During my visit, Las Hong thoroughly explained what was good for my hair type and took the time to give the advice. I had lots of questions and was quite fickle, yet he was very patient and explained the whole process. Even took time to explain how the haircut and styling process would be for the next months. Atmosphere and ambience was great, and it didn't feel crowded and you'd definitely be given a ver personalised service. While location may not be the most accessible, once you've arrived it makes up for it!

First time visiting The Bund @ Ang Mo Kio Bishan Park and the overall experience is very relaxing. Hair stylist is Las, very friendly and easy to get along. :) He also share with me how hair colouring works (which is quite interesting to me since I'm the type likes explore and learn new things. :D ). Atmosphere is so relaxing (not because there's a spa beside :P) since it is located at a park (which adds a very calming vibe). Would definitely love visit here again despite needing to walk for about 20 minutes from Ang Mo Kio MRT Station to here.

It's defintely a 1st time experience to a Hair Salon situated in the park. Gonna say really a WOW feeling so calm & beautiful enjoying the view while having my hair being done up by Las who's very patient & detailed in all my hair needs. A MUST & WILL COME BACK!!!

Las has been helping me with my hair for at least 5 years by now. He gives in to my various requests for either short or long styles; or when I feel like changing from simply a straight bob to ladylike locks, Las will not hesitate to give me honest and useful advice when I need one :) I know I can always trust Las to make my hair look good and feel great!

I had a boring hairstyle for the longest time until I forgot when did I had this look, was looking for a change because Gf said I look so boring and need a change, so I pick up my courage to give it a try. Haha... Still my subconscious tell me that I could not accept if worst I will look funny in it. So one day I happen to drop by The Bund when I walking by the Bishan park, with no clue what hairstyle I want, I pick up all my courage and walk in and ask a stylist ‘I need a new hair style!’ Can you help me? Las was the stylist to came to talk to me, very Friendly guy, we chat for awhile until I totally forgot that I was still abit nervous about new hairstyle I going to have. Las show me a few hair style and he recommended me a timeless undercut. He give me tips on so many way to style on almost every length of undercut. I was really excited to see some much variety of looks I can have with only such little effort needed to style daily by myself. His enthusiasm boast my confidence a lot to try the new look. During the session Las make me felt very comfortable by chatting with me, I think I might have look a little nervous or concern because of the new look (Haha). Although the other stylist did not serve me,l that day they did give me a very welcome vibe. Also lastly, The Bund surrounding environment and is so green and peaceful that does make me felt much more relax then the other salon I visited before. When the session is done, Las show and explain to me how to style. This look is amazing. I love how my new undercut is. I look so clean and refresh and cool, I took a photo and send my gf even my she said wow, She did not think I will really go and change my hairstyle and really did not know I can look so good in this new look. I really have to thanks Las to spend so much effort to explain and convince me. If not I will stay boring and not have this changed look! I felt Las really went extra miles for his customer. For sure I will return to The Bund and look for Las. I really felt the TOP notch professionalism from all the stylist! Thank you so much Las and the team!
