You'll never hear him boast about his 10 years of experience in Kim Robinson or about the miraculous way customers hair curl in after his haircuts because thats not who Alston is. Humble and soft-spoken, Alston is a haircut specialist highly requested by both Asian and Caucasian customers due to his ability to give customers a hairstyle with both volume and movement. Although he incorporates layering in the cuts, he doesn't thin the hair too much, resulting in hair that requires minimal maintenance. This is a skill he has honed over the past 17 years and a reason why most of the customers who go to him stay with him for more than 10 years.

Although Alston is not too talkative, he is approachable and a great listener, making it easy for customers to establish a sense of camaraderie and chemistry with him.
