It can be really challenging to deal with bad hair days without the right knowledge and advice. That's why I believe in letting my customers know as much about their own hair texture and condition as possible!"

Sham
Leading Stylist

We were definitely caught off-guard when Sham greeted and talked to us for the first time in fluent Mandarin.

"Wow... a Malay stylist who could speak fluent Mandarin?"

Here's where we got the facts wrong again... Sham is actually a stylist with mixed Indian and Chinese descent who can speak English, Mandarin, Hokkien and even Cantonese fluently!

Due to his Indian heritage, Sham found it really difficult to manage his curly hair while he was still a teenager. This sparked his interest in hairdressing as he finds its extremely satisfying to find solutions for customers with challenging hair types like his! He has therefore put in extra effort to master the Vidal Sassoon cut to use precise sectioning in creating manageable haircuts. Sham has also researched deeply to understand hair structure and different texturizing methods to help customers tame their hair condition.

His strong knowledge on how to control challenging hair with different hair techniques makes Sham particularly popular among Indian customers or customers with challenging hair types! But then again, Sham is just as popular among Working Professionals (both male and female) and even among those in the creative industry (Singers, Graphic Designers and so on). Other than his really excellent cut, Sham is one of those you can truly call your "Bro". A great listener with the boy-next-door charm, it is really easy to converse with Sham about work, music or anything else that's happening out there and with regards to hair, he is totally not pushy, recommending only services and products if you require or request for them.

Regardless, Sham shares that he finds it most useful to have customers showing him their preferred hairstyle photos, particularly if it is your first few visits. This allows him to have a better idea of what the customer likes so that he can work together with them to create a style that is even better than what they imagine. Therefore, don't forget do some quick research to make the best of your time with Sham!
