I visited on a weekday afternoon and it was very quiet, which was what I hoped for. The overall result was satisfying and my stylist was very patient. Only problem was he couldn't speak much English and there was no translator in sight. English speaking ladies only appeared when I was done and making payment.

Highly recommended! Harada-san could understand my requirements well and confidently chose a hair color that suited me. In fact, I made time to return to Risel for hair coloring as there was an important event coming up. I knew I would be in good hands because I was very satisfied with the hair color and cut Harada-san did for me previously. Overall, impressive service and efficient hairwork by Risel team.

Its my 3rd time here! I was handled by Harada, he is friendly and good in what he do. The services of the staffs are excellent too. No up selling and always satisfied with the result. Highly recommended.

Not impressed with the lukewarm treatment and Service by the stylist I have chosen. First time feeling so unpleasant. Luckily the assistant did a great job in overall with coloring + treatment. It's all her hard work that deserve more compliments.

Upon entering the salon, the receptionist and hair stylist greets you warmly and confirms your appointment. I was ushered to my seat immediately and offered a menu to decide what I would like to drink. My hair stylist, Harada, then confirmed the service I was about to do. He listened to my requests, answered my questions and showed me a sample of what the final results would roughly be like before starting. Absolutely no hard selling of services or pushing of products to you! LOVE IT! Tried their non-bleached ash colours and 3 step treatment, the colour turned out perfectly and the simple treatment helped rescued my damaged roots dramatically! Despite their affordable prices, the salon does not scrimp on the products they use or compromise their service. Overall a very pleasant experience, only wished I had more time to experience more services from them!

The stylist/hairdresser, harada, is super patient and nice. The services of the staffs are excellent too. Was greeted with a smile and asked about my choices of drinks. Very clean space and the stylist is very passionate about his work, describing how he is using a new technique to dye my hair. Even though I had my hair bleached, he told me that their salon uses good hair products and the control of the heat during the bleaching process also matters. Colours turned out very pretty! The staffs are all friendly and nice, they are not pushy at all and very patient in explaining about their products if you have any questions. Highly recommended.

I went there for my hair colouring and fringe cut, they offer you a drink when you sit down. Not much waiting, Hairstylist come right away. They are very kind and professional. Ask for your preference and help you to achieve the color. For the first attempt, we didn’t get the Color we wanted but hairstylist was very kind to help me dye again to get the prefect color. Very responsible. Staffs are nice, friendly. Hair is still in good condition after dyeing 2 times. While washing hair, they will provide massage and hot towel which makes you feel relax and comfortable. They take their time to wash my hair completely clean. Appreciate the service and effort. staff there were really caring and friendly! refreshments and snacks were provided the moment i entered the salon. before starting, the hairstylist gave me consultation and recommendations about my hair condition. the hair colour turned out to be exactly as i wanted. even after bleaching my hair twice, my hair is not dry at all thanks to the treatment! :) im very satisfied overall

Decided to check out this hair salon after reading good customers' reviews in beauty undercover and Facebook. Booked a weekday appointment with a director Harada for cut & treatment with the understanding through Facebook that they are having a October promotion of 10% off all hair services on weekdays for Director Cut for first time customers. Had a prompt and friendly consultation discussion on my hair for a perm and type of treatment though my preference would be olaplaex but decided to try Kure 5 step treatment as it's going at a special rate of S$80. The two stars value were for the very dishonest and confusion pricing structure.

Their Facebook Website have indicated there would be a 10% off for all hair services and when i decided to go for the 5 step kure treatment of S$80, it was also not mentioned to me that I'm not entitled for the 10% discount for other hair services. At the end, my total bill came and i've no idea how was it charged and no one really explained to me until i check further for the breakdown costings. I do understand that the price on website are 'FROM' but the hair stylist and receptionist should explain what the price was going to be and if there will be any T&C. The promotion mentioned in Facebook is NOT APPLICABLE at all. And it was not discussed with me before hand. Partial refunds were made at the end from the disgruntled stylist. Overall nice and friendly service but a rip off.

I occasionally had my hair dyed in different salons each time, ever since my favourite Hair stylist went back to her hometown in Malaysia permanently. First time having my hair dyed at Risel Japanese Hair Salon and the experience in overall was really awesome. Relaxing ambience with great services by Hair Stylist Harada & his assistants. Had a few head turns and strangers asking where I had my hair done. Would definately come back again! Thank you Risel Hair Salon!

The experience was satisfying! It was my first time there and was greeted warmly by the counter staff. I was super early for my appt so was brought to an empty seat & was served a cup of tea (can choose from their menu) & some chocolates/sweets. Although I was early, I didn't wait long. Director, Harada came and consulted with my preference of hair color and I leave it all to him cos I didn't know what I wanted either haha! My hair was colored by Kaori, and the kure 3-step treatment was done by another staff, male Japanese stylist. I was beaming with delight when I saw my untamed, damaged hair looked so healthy & shiny after the whole service. Director Harada came again & insisted to style my hair even though initially I said, it's okay lol. Thank God he insisted cos my hair looks BOMB after his styling!! Had a great experience there and would definitely come back again!

It's my third time at the salon and it has always lived up to expectations. Service is always impeccable. Although Harada-san may not be entirely fluent in English yet, he is able to understand what you want and communicate his suggestions and advice adequately. I'd recommend showing him pictures of what you'd like to make the process easier for the both of you! Personally, I love the ambience of the place. It might not have the most extravagant of decors but it has charm in its calm simplicity and clean design. I'd wholeheartedly recommend this salon for anyone looking for genuine Japanese experience.

The entire experience was great! Have been looking for a stylist that can provide good haircut and at the same time able to provide genuine advice. Met Harada San this afternoon and was pleased that he was frank with his opinion. Although not very fluent in english but he is able to communicate in short description and sentences. He suggested a touch up in my hair colour instead of whole head. Being mindful in the cost, he is not pushy that I have to do the 5 steps treatment and suggested the 3 steps if I am rushing for time. I took up the 5 steps treatment and he said thank you ! The treatment was fantastic. The lady who did it was also japanese, polite and gentle. The head massage was so good that I think it should be called a spa. My hair is shiny and soft after the treatment . Very glad that i discover this salon.

I followed RISEL Hair on Facebook and saw that they were looking for hair models, Kaori, one of their staff will be practicing her skills on hair models before she becomes a stylist. She is very easy going, gentle and cares for the customer and their hair, am confident that she will be able to choose on behalf of me so I left the base colour + highlights for her to decide. :) She suggested a darker coloured base to contrast with violet + ruby highlights (which will slowly fade to a light-ish pink). It's been a few days since the salon visit and I love the beautiful colour! Am excited to see how it'll fade till. Thank you, Kaori for making your customers feel so well taken care of. The price I paid was a lot lower as it's a separate price outside of the menu for hair models, although, the usual menu price for a Japanese hair salon is considerably reasonable too. Please visit and look for Kaori, she is able to set your hair beautifully as well.

My hair was messy because I have curly hair and did rebonding 3 months ago, however it already grow curly again. I decided to cut it first before I do rebonding next round after treatment because my hair is dry. I have tried alot of Japanese salon in Singapore and Japan, and I found out Risel salon reviews are good and has reasonable price thru this website. The stylist that cut my hair, Harada san was stylist in Tokyo. He is expert, giving fast and very good service, advice me for not doing rebonding too straight as it not good, it doesn't give natural look. As I am happy with my haircut today, I have set appointment for color whole head next week. Thank you and see you next week ^_^

Have been wanting to try out at a Japanese hair salon. Harada-san was very skillful. I didn't know what hairstyle to go for actually so he just did a normal cut for me - the usual that I would do cut length, layer and trim fringe. However the look was different to what I would normally get at a local salon. Harada-san also did curl my hair at the end which made me real tempted to perm it. Overall satisfied with my haircut but I would ask Harada-san to recommend me some hairstyle change, perm and/or colour for my next visit!
