Hi, I'm Agent R, currently working as a manager in one of the biggest hotel chains in the world. I'm actually Korean so wherever possible, I actually do my hair services back in Korea when I'm back for a vacation.
There are however days where I need to get a haircut or colour done. My hair is however very important to me so I don't just go anywhere. I'll ask around my friends and colleagues for recommendation and only proceed after I've verified the skill level for the stylist. There however aren't many hairstylists in Singapore that have impressed me yet, so I find it hard to go back to them.
Recently though, I find myself in need of a colour again and a good friend of mine recommended me to try Bella from Style NA @ Parkway Parade. Bella is a Korean stylist who has been in Singapore for some time and my friend raved about how her skill. Coincidentally, Bella was looking for a hair model so I was very fortunate to have the chance to try her skills for the first time!
We made the appointment on a weekday and this is how my hair looks like now.
During the consultation, Bella was very attentive. Like the top Korean stylists I'm used to, Bella asked various questions to understand my preference before going ahead. My hair colour was actually pretty uneven then but I was comforted when Bella was confident that she can correct the uneven colour. I wasn't keen on bleaching my hair since I had permed my hair previously and I didn't want to damage my hair too much. She suggested a lavender brown hair colour that is still professional given my job in the hospitality industry that will fade off without leaving my hair brassy.
I'm good with what she says so let's proceed!
Bella began by sectioning my hair and applying the colour onto my hair for different lengths of time. This allows her to control how much the colour is absorbed to achieve a more even outcome.
Once fully coated, we let the colour process for a short while.
I brought a book and so was a good time for me to indulge in some light reading while I waited. I appreciated that the salon wasn't too cold and the music not too loud or annoying, so I enjoyed my time there.
Bella didn't just leave me alone though. She came back to check every 5-10 minutes, retouching the areas she felt needed to be retouched so that the colour can be even.
When she was done, she brought me to the basin for a wash, which included a nice scalp massage.
Back at the seat, she blew my hair dry and gave my hair a little trim.
Then, she dried my hair completely.

I really like that the colour was done in a way that complemented the shape and style of my hair.
The eventual colour was also very even, with much of my highlights retained!
It is my first time to Style NA @ Parkway Parade and it sure wouldn't be my last!
The colour process was fast and experience comfortable as the stylist is attentive without being overbearing. The final result was also exactly what I wanted.
My hair also felt very soft afterwards as she took care not to damage my hair too much.
Days on, my hair still looks and feels fabulous.
Overall a salon and stylist I'm happy to recommend to friends and colleagues!
